Countless species sat in a massive conference room, their diverse attires and cultures adding color to the space. All eyes were on a holographic video in the center, showing the skyline of a massive continental metropolis labeled as the Xalorian planet city of Tev'il. The scene was set in the red-hued noon, with extreme radiation and heat scorching the landscape in the background.
Suddenly, a massive purple vortex manifested above the city. Several blurry disc-like flying vessels emerged from the vortex, dropping countless dark objects onto the ground before zipping away as abruptly as they had appeared. These dark objects split into countless small boosted projectiles, descending toward the surface. Just a few hundred meters before impact, blinding flashes of light erupted. Mushroom clouds of fire spread across the continental metropolis, with the estimated death toll on the monitor skyrocketing from zero to ten million, then to 64 million in just five seconds. The video feed shook violently, not from the shockwave on the horizon, but from an explosion behind the camera before cutting to static.
The next video showed the planet's surface littered with bright explosions, with the death toll climbing to 400 million in just 30 seconds.
"Estimated 500 high-powered dirty fusion bombs were dropped on Tev'il, across 39 different locations in their most densely populated centers. These Eixkarian atmospheric warp jump attacks on our defenseless worlds are acts of barbarism. Without warning, without allowing us to resist, they commit savagery on an unimaginable scale. We request the Riv Galactic Council to take immediate action. This genocide against our people is driven by their lust for war, blood, and conquest, much like the invaders of Thravia," said a lizard-like man. Many in the room nodded and murmured in agreement, the weight of the situation pressing upon them all.
The images of Tev'il's destruction had left a good sense of fear and anger among the delegations, prompting countless representatives to stand, one after another, demanding immediate and severe action against the aggressors.
"This cannot go unanswered! We must form a united front and strike the Eixkarians back," declared Admiral Serathos of the Kethari Union, a species of aquatic and terrestrial-adapted fish-like mammals, his gill-like features on his cheeks opening up. His voice trembled with emotion. "They have shown no mercy, and we must respond in kind to protect our civilizations."
"The actions of these invaders are a clear declaration of war against all civilized beings," added Delegate Morthak of the Mythrax Confederacy, a species of lizard-like humanoids with thinner light blue carapaces of their Xalorian counterparts. "Their use of such indiscriminate and destructive weapons shows their true nature. They are not just a threat to us, but to the entire galaxy."
The murmurs of agreement grew louder, and the atmosphere became one of hostility against the Eixkarians. Some representatives called for an immediate military response, while others proposed blockades to cripple the invaders.
"We cannot wait for them to strike again," argued Commander Hravik of the Xalorian Empire, a militaristic species of armored, carapace-bearing lizard-like beings. "Our intelligence suggests they are preparing for more attacks. We must preemptively strike their key military installations and cripple their warp capabilities. I beseech the Riv Galactic Council: we must protect our people and ensure that these aggressors do not spread their violence beyond their current borders. If we fail to act decisively, we risk more atrocities like what happened on Tev'il."
Among the voices calling for action, Ambassador Kalara of the Lathorian Syndicate, a race of insectoid beings known for their hive-mind organization and bio-technological prowess, spoke up. "We must ensure our actions are justified and proportionate. While the invaders have indeed committed atrocities, we must consider the long-term consequences of our response. A full-scale war on our side while fighting the Thravian invaders could devastate us all."
