Weeks had passed, and the Galactic Council found itself in a state of inaction, unable to decide on an appropriate course of action against the mysterious and hostile force known as the Eixkarians. The language barrier presented by the Eixkarians left the entire Riv Galaxy baffled. While it was uncommon to encounter a language that couldn't be deciphered within a short time, the Eixkarian tongue proved to be an exception. Initially, the Xalorians were suspected of fabricating their inability to understand the Eixkarians. However, when other races and nations within the galaxy sent their own codebreakers and linguists—along with the most advanced artificial intelligence systems designed specifically to crack new languages—the result was the same — an utter failure. The Eixkarian language remained a mystery.
The galaxy was left utterly confused about how to communicate with this civilization. As a result, the Galactic Council's debates dragged on, with no clear resolution in sight. Meanwhile, the threat of further Eixkarian attacks loomed ominously over Xalorian worlds, colonies, and people.
In response to this unprecedented situation, the Council took proactive measures. Quarantine forces and peacekeepers were deployed to defend vital Xalorian worlds from potential Eixkarian genocidal raids. Layers upon layers of multiracial war machines, representing the strength and diversity of the Galactic Council, were stationed around key planets, ready to fend off any attempts at extermination by the Eixkarians.
Despite the fact that the Xalorians had initiated the conflict, the Galactic Council could not stand by and allow innocent civilians to be slaughtered, nor could they tolerate the thought of entire worlds being reduced to radioactive wastelands. There was a deep moral ground within the Council to prevent the extinction of any species, regardless of their prior actions. Allowing such atrocities to continue unchecked was abhorrent to many.
This stance, however, led to the gradual demonization of the Eixkarians, first in neighboring countries and then slowly throughout the galaxy. They began to be seen as a monstrous and unpredictable savages — a threat to the very existence of galaxy.
Complicating matters further was the ongoing conflict with the Thravian invaders along the Galactic borders. The Council was keenly aware that allowing the conflict between the Xalorians and the Eixkarians to escalate could have disastrous consequences, potentially spreading like wildfire across neighboring regions and destabilizing the entire galactic center.
Gazpa Star System
In this tense environment, a Fareo battlecruiser—a massive 700-meter-long vessel—hovered alongside a fleet of Xalorian destroyers and cruisers. The battlecruiser cast shadow over them, its silhouette dominating the scene, its size comparable to the Xalorian battleships. The Fareo, a race of mollusk-type beings that had evolved in the seas of their homeworld, had spent thousands of years advancing their technological level. They eventually learned to walk on land, populating the continents of their planet, until they were discovered and uplifted by the Galactic Council. Over the following centuries, their technological level had been pushed even further, allowing them to take their place among the stars.
As the battlecruiser floated in the dark void of space, its crew—an amalgam of mollusk-like beings and advanced AI systems—monitored the situation with caution and curiosity. The Farese, like many in the galaxy, were uncertain of how to proceed.
Admiral Folz, a towering figure among his crew, focused his mono-eye on the display panels that tracked the docking procedures of their expeditionary motherships. The Fareo fleet, with its distinct technological needs and organic architecture, required specialized docking facilities that the Xalorians’ infrastructure couldn’t adequately provide. Furthermore, the Xalorian docks were crowded and ill-suited to handle the requirements of the mollusk-like species and their biomechanical ships.
