"HEY GUYS! WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?!"
Yuji shouted with a smile, waving at his teacher and friends as you follow him. Satoru returned with a smile and high-fived with his pink-haired student. It has been awhile since the fireworks show so many people were already leaving the park.
The man replied, "We went to uhh.. shopping! Nobara needed a new spare of clothes!", Satoru sweatdropped with an awkward smile on his face.
Nobara swiftly turned to her teacher with a shock and angered expression, "I DIDN'T-", before she could complete her statement, Megumi signalled her as she let out a defeated sigh. She can never forgive her teacher for using her as an excuse, how dare he!
Yuji suspiciously eyes them, "But, what took you guys so long?", he asked. Satoru stuttered, "Uhm- uhh...-", as he was thinking of an answer, the dark-haired boy beat him to it, "After we separated ways, we were called to a sudden mission. Since you weren't with us, we didn't thought of letting you know so you could... enjoy the day with Y/n.", Megumi stated.
"Y-Yeah right!! m-man, we couldn't even get a proper rest day! right, Megumi?", Nobara added with an awkward chuckle, the said boy hummed in response.
Yuji seemed to believe his friends' statements when his face lit up. He scratched the back of his head, "Yeah right, thanks for that guys!", he thanked them with a smile.
They chatted for a bit as all of you walked to leave the park since it will close in an hour. You eyed them with a small smile on your face. Until you felt a stare at you so you turned to meet Megumi's blue eyes staring right to yours.
His gaze immediately averted from you, feeling embarrassed with a visible blush on his face. This made you confused, but you shrugged it off to avoid any awkwardness.
Nobara went beside you, wrapping her arm around yours. She smiled, "Hey, remember my promise earlier? let's go get ice cream!", she beamed and pulled you to the ice cream stand nearby.
She brought you and herself an ice cream, "Here! I'm sorry for earlier that we didn't got to spend time together..", Nobara apologized. You shook your head, "Ah, it's alright! there's always a next time. Oh by the way here,", you took your wallet out to pay her back but she refused with a shook of her head, "Nope! it's a treat remember?"
You smiled at her kindness, Nobara is really sweet. Although she displays a grumpy personality with the others, you know that she really cares about them. The boys also brought themselves an ice cream and is chatting with something related to their plan regarding the pink-haired boy's survival.
