The Emporium was filled with teenagers and young adults. They were stood around pool tables and other games, beer somewhere near them or dancing, beer in hand.

Music blared as we walked through the room and over to Pickford, who was playing foosball

"One to go. Prickford!" Woody exclaimed.

"-Wood-a-been. Happening'?" Kevin replied.

"It's a bummer about your party, man."

"What can I say? It's beyond me. The delivery guy bricked. And it's a— keep your eye on the ball— dead issue!" Pickford cheers when he scores.

"Man, I was really lookin' forward to it too." I said, announcing my presence as I steal the beer that Pickford had just put down.

"Heyy, M, you made it out I see." He observed. "Hey, hey, hey! Man, not my beer!" He yelled trying to grab it back.

I downed the rest of the liquid before handing it back. "Hey, man." He groaned when he realized it was empty.

I smirked, wiggling my fingers goodbye at him as me and pink head over to Julie, a blonde girl two years younger.

"Hey, man. How's it going?" She asked pink before waving at me.

"Heyyy, Julie." I respond to her wave.

"Good. What's goin' on?" He asked.

"Nothin'."

"Not much?"

"Nothin' at all."

"Hey." Pink greeted, nodding over to Julie's friend.

"Hey." She flirtatiously replied, causing me to roll my eyes.

Randy quickly turned his attention away from Julie's friend. "Hey. You know Mitch?" He asked pointing over to the freshman.

"Oh, yeah, I think I just heard about you." Julie replies.

"Really? What did you hear?" Mitch asked, a grin forming on his face as he stared at the girl.

"I don't know, man. Are you okay?" She asked with a slight giggle at his expression.

"Oh. Yeah." Mitch replied, looking at the ground in embarrassment.

I looked up at Pink— whose arms were slung around me— with a smirk on my face, a smirk etching its way across his face as well.

"Oh. I guess I'll see you guys later?" Julie says, when her friend beckons her away.

"Okay." Pink replies. "Talk to you later."

"Okay. See you."

"Bye, bye Julie." I wave with a knowing smirk causing her to roll her eyes. She totally likes him already.

We walk back over to the foosball table where Kev use to be, Mitch taking a little longer since he was too busy staring at Julie to notice our absence.

"Hey, man." The freshman said, tapping Pinks chest with the back of his hand as he stares at Julie. "What grade is she in?"

"Sophomore." Pink replies as we exchange smirks.

"Come on. Come on. Hurry up. We gotta hurry though." Michelle says as she and Pickford lead the group outside hand in hand.

Pink grabs my hand, leading us outside while I snatch the beer Melvin has causing I'm to groan.
