"Why can't my heroes win? I've seen it in all the fantasy books, the heroes always win. But in our world, the heroes always lose." Dias repeated to himself, time and time again. He hated reading history books and reading about the heroes, who'd either gone insane or just straight up disappeared.
He needed to find the reason they always lose no matter what. He'd rather become a hero himself if it means that the heroes start winning again. But he didn't have that power. Heroes were just way too out of his league.
So, he decided to prepare for the last hero, a hero who he believes is yet to be summoned. He heads to the grand library and slowly opens the crooked and rusty doors paving the way to the bookshelves. Dias' eyes were filled with determination, though the room was dark. He'll dig deeper into the past and find all the secrets left behind.
But as he checked the books, he couldn't find anything that he hadn't read already. Unless he goes into the deeper part of the grand library, the part that even janitors don't head into. Well, this was gonna be a huge challenge, eyesight is a problem here.
But of course, He's gonna have to step out of his boundaries a bit if he wants some info. So, Almost backfiring a Lux spell, he enters the darker part of the library with his trusty companion, lighting his path.
And the amount of times he grabbed at nothing was insane, he was grabbing at the air almost as if he was imagining books there, eventually he finds some good books It's almost as if he hit the jackpot. He found a book about the Gods of the world. A book about mana and spells, a book about the history of the world, and a adventurer handbook; this'll be useful later.
Dias made his way to the nearest table, set the books down and thought for about 30 minutes on which book to read first. Obviously, it has to be about the Gods since they started everything... Right?
However, when Dias opened the huge book, the first few pages were empty, flip a few more.. Still empty. Go to the end of the book? Empty, other than a small note.
"The two (main) Gods, Solan, responsible for the order of the world. And Ardor, responsible for the chaos of the world/For the freedom of the people. These are only placeholder names, given by the community."
"It is commonly believed that mana and most spells came from Solan. Or atleast, that's what the first descendant said. It is believed that doing good will strengthen your mana."
"Ardor on the other hand is a quiet God, he seems to not have much of an effect on this world other than the corrupted spell made behind Solan's back, Mori."
"The two other usually forgotten Gods are known as Elemira, Goddess of healing and life and Amerach, the God of blacksmithing and blades."
"Both have left their mark on this world, Elemira's mark being the druid, a servant of life. And Amerach's mark being the Lapidarist, one who can turn gemstones into powerful weapons."
And... That's where the note ends off, The Gods are something he's heard time and time again. But this is the first time he'd ever heard of Elemira and Amerach... Well, this book was a good one. Time for the next one."
"Mana is (assumed to be) the driving force of all life given by Solan. It directly enters the soul and "controls" it, giving it slight access to control ones soul in order to use the mana properly."
"Mana can be used in the average day to day life, to increase ones strength, to increase ones speed, to infuse ones fists with mana and even give them the ability to climb walls, of course all requiring mana to be charged."
