It's been a few days since the day he met THAT girl and things have changed drastically.
First of all, he's one step closer to his goal!
Second, he now lived in the Knight's Hall in the Lieutenants area. Which means no more disturbances in his sleep.
Third, some Knights have been looking at him differently ever since.
And there was an itching problem at the very back of his head. Something he'd rather ignore yet is intrigued by.
That is... The girl.
Who was she?
Why did she want to meet him?
And why did she cry that day?
It doesn't make sense.
So, he has one choice. To ask the very Knight that stopped him that day. That very Knight that went... into the farthest room in the Hall of Knights.
And also there was another problem with this itching problem... The Knight himself. From what he remembered, looked very powerful. Had really intimidating aura, and looked as if he had the intent to kill.
No man would dare step foot in the Knight's room. Dias hadn't even seen anyone go inside that room until now.
These lieutenants were something different compared to Dias. Maybe because he's new but still. To be in the same rank, yet be leagues apart is... Something.
Right, so... What's the most... Optimal thing to do at this point? Go in the room or... Do something... Less scary? Latter, of course.
~~~~~~~~~
What was the... Next thing to do as a Knight.. unfortunately for Dias, he doesn't know what Knight's do.
Go on a mission? He'd be reprimanded for suddenly leaving without assistance.
Go to the icy tundra? There was no need for that and it'd be a nuisance.
He just didn't know what to do. There were so many limitations... And so little things that can be done.
He thinks as he walks past an Alley, noticing a bunch of thieves robbing a poor civilian.
He walks by, still deep in thought. It doesn't matter anyways, the other Knights will just deal with them later.
Without realizing it, he makes his way to the board in which he found the heaps and tons of houses. There is however, a new piece of paper featuring... Something, in the tundra.. A... Monster? Of sorts? But he looks humanoid... Hm..
It was still quite annoying how many monsters still appear out of nowhere. Though, being a Lieutenant in the Knight's of Order gave him a confidence boost... He might be able to beat one of them?..
But... It's literally been a few days since Dias had became a lieutenant, how could he possibly fight a monster without even knowing how to use his abilities as a Lieutenant?
More training is needed. A sigh of frustration, his goal is still quite far.
"Hey, Lieutenant."
A voice rung out, though the guy was probably talking to someone else.
"Lieutenant."
"What is it?" Dias said in an annoyed tone. He didn't want to deal with a rookie right now.
"The commander is calling for you."
~~~~~~~~~
In front of the door he was oh so afraid of mere hours ago. Called by the Knight that led him straight to the door. Oh goodness.
The Knight slowly opens the door and it reveals a very dark room to Dias(and Dias alone). He holds on to the Knight's shoulder, following him to the Commander.
"Take a seat."
An ominous voice said in the distance.
"W-Where?.."
Dias hastily said.
"Are you blind?"
"---Partially.."
The commander stood up and turned on the lights, letting Dias finally see.
"I apologize, I didn't see that in your files. Please, see your new party for now."
Par...Ty?... Dias looked around and saw.. 4 different people.
One was the supposed Commander, tall... Maybe taller than Dias. Even through his armor he looks muscular and he could tell that this was the same man who stopped him from meeting the girl cause of his aura. And his... Golden... Eyes...
Second, A Knight. He looks as if he's the same age as him. Though not having the sigil helmet meant meant he was most likely a rookie. He had tan skin, red hair, and green eyes.
Third, a blacksmith. Appearing to be quite young. He had tan skin, red hair and green eyes. He also seemed to be good friends with the druid, leaning on his shoulder.
Fourth, a druid. He seemed to have a leather cloak dyed green, alongside a belt of potions. He had pure white hair, turquoise skin and white eyes.
"This is your new set of teammates. You're all from house Solan and please, do be friendly with each other. You're most likely going to be on a lot of missions together."
Hm. They all took turns taking looks at each other before quickly turning back to the commander.
"Alright, your first mi-----"
However, something catches his eye, drowning out the sound. A unique sword on the wall of the Commanders room. A sword that doesn't seem to be made out of mythril, silver or bronze. What the hell was that sword?
"And though I don't expect you lot to lose against a new type, I still would expect some injuries since we still don't know it's power. You are mere recon, do not try to fight against the faceless."
Huh? What happened?
"Dismissed, please do get ready. Your journey begins tomorrow."
And as the rest of his party leave, Dias follows shortly after, hearing some weird sound, similar to that of when he was attacked by a Chained Soldier.
Wait, what's happening again? He grasps the other Knight's shoulder and whispers in his ear.
"What are we doing? What did the commander say?"
"We're heading to the icy Tundra, I heard there's a new monster type that needs to be watched. I'm pretty sure we can beat em."
"Name's Dias by the way."
The Knight extends his hand and Dias shakes it.
"Name's Atmere. I think we'd make a good pair."
"Who are the other two?"
"The druid's Graham, he loves documenting his story, and the blacksmith is... Falco. I think you'd fit in fine."
And as Dias comes to a halt, he looks at them as they walk away. It wouldn't be bad having teammates. Wait, he said Tundra... Right?
Creators note: Atmere? Graham?!?!?! FALCO?? I could've found better names but this'll make do for now. Remember that sword? Don't forget. Don't forge tAll LIce.
