Although his expression is typically serious, but when he does smile—rarely—it's magnetic, revealing a glimpse of warmth beneath the tough exterior he carefully maintains. His reputation for crushing any obstacle or rival that dares to stand in his way precedes him, and his unwavering judgment and uncountable success ensures satisfaction among those who work with him.
Brian's life took an unexpected turn when he became entangled in a scandal involving a woman named Serah bribed for causing a great damage to Brian. Serah leaked confidential information about the company as well as his equation with dad and David got falsely accused. David, who worked 10 years in Luther Enterprise, couldn't prove his innocence as the mail was being sent by his email to media and a large sum of money was deposited in his account. Hence, was destroyed by Brian's ruthlessness.
The scandal creates a perfect storm of controversy and chaos, tarnishing Brian's reputation and jeopardizing a major deal. As the media frenzy escalates, his father seizes the opportunity to challenge Brian's leadership, questioning his ability to direct the company through turbulent times.
He works tirelessly to address the scandal publicly, trying to clear his name and regain control. To counter the scandal, Brian announces an ambitious AI project, aiming to revolutionize the market within the next two years. Though this project was in R&D phase, and this was his secret weapon to penetrate the market until now. But he was obliged to announce to control the maximum damage to company. He hoped this bold move would shift focus away from the scandal and demonstrate his commitment to innovation.
Despite Brian's efforts, chairman opposes the project, arguing that it's too risky given the current instability of market. In a series of tense board meetings, Chairman Andrew criticizes the AI project and Brian's judgment, further fueling rumors and dissent. Brian, feeling the pressure from both the scandal and his father's opposition, struggles to gain support from the board members who once backed him. Therefore, Brian must prove his leadership capabilities and commitment to the company and this project is perfect for this purpose.
After few months, Brian goes on a trip with his business proposal for an AI innovation project. He was quite excited about this trip as it is a turning point in his career and his position in the business sector.
As he landed in LA for his investor's meeting, it seemed to be very elongated. Despite the circumstances, Brian remained optimistic about securing the funding; after all, he had never lost a deal before. He was determined to crack it eventually. However, his hopes were soon dashed when the scandal and the uncertain future of the project led him to face failure. This setback hit him hard, marking the first time in his career that he felt truly defeated.
Feeling overwhelmed, he sought solace in a bar to vent his frustration, where he unexpectedly crossed paths with Lisa.
As Brian sank into a chair in the dimly lit bar, the weight of his disappointment hung heavily on his shoulders. He ordered whiskey, hoping the burn would dull his frustration.
Then, he noticed her—Lisa, A young woman whose eyes are full of hope and depth, an infectious laugh that caught his attention. There was something captivating about her.
Curious about her presence there, Brian approached Lisa. He asked her: "Are you alone by any chance, Want some company?" She was quiet for a few minutes, observing Brian—a man who seemed both dominant and calm, with eyes that made him appear the most handsome man in her surroundings.
"Yeah, alone here. So, wanna join me?" she replied with a smile.
They spent the evening enjoying each other's company, dancing and laughing. The night was pretty young to end. But Lisa needs to leave now. She bid farewell to Brian and said, "It was a nice evening. I enjoyed it."
Everything felt so lovely and attractive. As he saw Lisa trying to catch butterflies, he was amazed with her innocence and told her not to steal their freedom. Just see how colorful and beautiful it looks and enjoy it.
Seeing the rain approaching, Brian asked Lisa, "Shall I drop you home? It will be going to rain."
Lisa declined, saying, "I booked the cab already. It'll be here in no time." As the rain began, Brian requested Lisa to go with him, but Lisa didn't seem content.
Lisa asked him to go and said, "the cab will be here soon." Brian insisted on waiting with her and offered his coat to keep her from drenching. Lisa accepted the coat with a smile. Just as Brian was about to ask for her number, the cab arrived. She got in and left.
It's raining heavily, Brian drenched himself and loved the rain. The fragrance of sand after the rain was just so perfect. The green leaves in rain and the trees were so pleased to see when rains are dropping everywhere.
The best part of the evening he thought was meeting Lisa. He never laughed too much, never enjoyed the beauty of nature, never played with the drops of rain and never felt the fragrance of sand after rain like he did. As if, Lisa brought a life to Brian which he had been missing for ages.
However, Brian was soon reminded that he had failed to secure funding for his project. Known for his tough exterior and unapproachable demeanor, Brian was actually deeply invested in his employees, treating them like family and caring for them in secret. The thought that all their hard work and overnights might be in vain weighed heavily on him.
He had also challenged to Andrew Luther, the chairman of Luther Enterprises-his father, to prove that he could complete the project without his support. And prove that the position of CEO does not belong to anyone but him rightfully.
Brian (himself): "What is Andrew Luther going to do after hearing this failure? He will surely mock me. Damn, how can I not get this deal. Tomorrow will be hell for me. But no, I asked for 2 years, I won't give up. Whatsoever setback comes in the way I'll handle it rationally as I'd before, you'll see Mr. Luther. I won't let you win. I won't be going back after my years of hard work."
Tomorrow, he needs to attend his father's birthday party which is going be a networking party too. He decided to approach some other investors who might show any interest in this project. And with this thought he went to bed.
Lying in bed, Brian reflected on the lovely evening with Lisa. He was delighted by the moments they shared but regretted not asking for her number. He wondered if he would ever see her again. Her soft voice and laughter are echoed in his ears.
As he drifted off to sleep, the storm outside mirrored the turbulence inside. The promise of a new day and the challenge that lay ahead filled him with a renewed sense of purpose. Little did he know, the journey to find Lisa and achieve his goal was just only beginning.
Will he be able to find her again? And more importantly, could he overcome the obstacles ahead and prove his worth?
