Chapter 2 - Finally The Moment

<Olly P.O.V>

Caroline and I were just waiting behind the doors to the stage and the producers were just checking everything was working with the screen. I knew that this wasn't supposed to mean anything as we were just friends but I couldn't help but think what it could be the start of.

We heard the X Factor end and the producers start to get ready for Xtra Factor to begin. The large spotlight shined down on the screen but the doors were still closed so we were still hidden from the audience. I looked over at Caroline and saw she was looking at me smiling, I smiled back trying to hide my excitment for what was about to happen; I don't think it worked...

<Caroline P.O.V>

Olly looked up at me from the other side of the stage, I hadn't realised the smile on my face until he smiled back at me, he looked really excited though I could tell he was trying to hide it! Just thinking about what we were about to do filled me with a mix of nerves and excitment. Loads of questions started running through my head. What if it didn't mean anything to him? What if it was just a flirty kiss like we always do? Did Olly actually want to do this or is he doing it to make fans excitable? I knew I had to forget this and go back to being happy.

About a minute later the voice over man gave us our intro and the doors opened revealing the screen lit up by the huge  spotlight. Olly and I started to walk towards each other but he was a little bit slower than me so I grabbed him by the shirt to pull him in. We quickly looked each other in the eyes before pressing our lips into each other. Even though it only lasted a few seconds, I could feel the electricity between us. It may have only been quick but to me it was our first kiss, whether we were an item or not.

<Olly P.OV>

As we broke the kiss, I looked into Caroline's eyes. She looked so beautiful and I could feel the electricity between us. I always knew there was something more to our relationship. Whether we were together or not, I felt like it was our first kiss, and it was the best one I've ever had. I heard a producer say 'Now!' into our ear pieces and I ripped down the sheet in front of us. Walking out I wiped my mouth causing the audience to laugh and slipped my hand into Caroline's.

We read our first lines from the autocue and when I saw the camera wasn't on us, I glanced at Caroline. She was very red from blushing and I could tell she was trying not to laugh at my cheesy joke that I'd just told. I quickly turned back to the camera noticing it was on me and got on with the rest of the show but thoughts of what I was going to tell Caz later never left my mind.
