You stood frozen in place, a wave of emotions crashing over you as he appeared before you, causing your heart to sink and a shiver to run down your spine.

It has been 2 years since you last saw Heeseung, yet his mere presence still held the power to unsettle you deeply.

"What are you doing here?" You managed to ask through gritted teeth, immediately putting up your defences.

You were determined not to show him any sign of fear or weakness.

"I just wanted to see you, darling," He replied, his voice smooth but dripping with fake sweetness. "I missed you."

With each step he took closer, his eyes roamed over you in a way that made your skin crawl, a sense of discomfort and vulnerability settling in.

"The cafe is closed, so please leave. I won't be taking your order." You stated firmly, motioning for him to go.

His laughter filled the air, but his smile faded quickly as he shook his head in disbelief. "Are you still angry about that? I already told you it was a mistake, darling." He murmured, his eyes narrowing at you.

"Don't call me that. We're not together anymore, and whether it was a mistake or not, I couldn't care less." You retorted, standing your ground against his attempts to manipulate the situation.

"You still haven't learned your lesson, have you, Y/N?" He growled, his mask finally slipping, revealing his true colours.

Despite trying to hide your fear, you continued to glare at him.

He then smirked and remarked, "Come on, I know you still love me. And besides, you look hot." His words sending a shiver of disgust down your spine as his gaze shamelessly wandered over you.

Just as the tension peaked, your manager intervened, raising an eyebrow at Heeseung. "I thought I already told you the cafe was closed and not admit customers—" His words were abruptly cut off by Heeseung.

"She already informed me, but I'm really craving glazed donuts and cappuccino," he interrupted, casting a glance in your direction.

Fidgeting with your nails, you avoided meeting his gaze, silently resisting his manipulative tactics.

"I'm sorry, but—" Once again, the manager's sentence was interrupted by Heeseung's "I'll pay double." He stated with a smirk.

Your manager clears his throat and instructed, "Y/N, prepare his order." Before exiting the scene.

With no choice but to comply, you began assembling his request, acutely aware of Heeseung's eyes following your every move, making you increasingly uncomfortable.

Upon completing his order, you approached his table to deliver it. As you placed the cappuccino down, his hand covered yours, pleading softly, "Come back to me, please?"

The repulsion and urge to retaliate surged within you, yet the knowledge of his power held you back. He was capable of anything.

"No." You declare firmly, pushing his hand away before walking away, determined not to fall for his tricks.

Moments pass, and he finishes his meal, rising to his feet, fixing you with a familiar devilish grin. "Don't assume this is our last encounter, Y/N." He states, punctuating his words with a sly wink before leaving.
