Valt and Shu had now become close friends. They were so close that when they didn't have to do much acting to be convincing as best friends.
Valt was excited for the second season. "Can you believe it?" he asked Shu happily. "It feels like yesterday that we had just met. Now we will be doing Season 2. I can't wait to spend more time with you and the others."
"I know," said Shu. "I'm looking forward to it as well. I wonder if all our friends will be returning as well."
The 'Beyclub' were all now close friends. Valt and Rantaro got on well. Ken had now come out of his shell and talked more than he used to. Wakiya even admitted to liking the others, though he and Rantaro still bickered at times. Daigo had gotten close with Valt and Shu.
At the studio, there were some new faces. Some of them were in awe of some of the old actors.
Shu texted Sora with his new phone. He was thankful to have one now. It made communication so much easier.
There was a text from his father, informing him that he would be home late tonight, and another from Seina. The two of them had gotten together a month ago.
Shu's parents were doubtful about the relationship. Shu was eleven and Sora was now fifteen. But Shu assured them that he would be careful.
Just then, a flash of red caught his eye. A very pretty girl was talking to Valt. Then she turned to look at Shu.
She looked around Shu's age. She had wavy ruby red hair, round baby blue eyes, and a sweet smile. She gasped when she saw Shu.
"Sorry," she said when she realized that she was staring. "I'm a huge fan. I mean, wow! The real Shu Kurenai! Am I dreaming? Pinch me."
"Okay," said Valt. He pinched the girl's arm.
"Ow! Not literally!" said the girl.
Shu suddenly remembered himself the first time he met Seina. "It's okay. I don't blame you for staring. What's your name?"
"I'm Rosalie Charmille. Everyone calls me Rose."
"Can I call you Rose?"
"Sure," said Rose. "I am so excited to be in this show."
The director handed scripts to the actors. They read through them.
"Wait a minute," said Valt. "I go to Spain? But how can we do that?"
"This season is going to be about going to other countries," said the producer.
"Whoa," said Valt. "I can't wait to go to... Wait. Where's Spain again?"
"Valt! Did you not pay attention in class?" asked Daigo. Valt and Daigo went to the same school. "We were talking about Spain for weeks now."
"Oh. I guess that I must have been daydreaming," said Valt.
Rose giggled. "You're silly."
"Wait. Why am I the antagonist?" asked Shu. "Apparently I go under the name Red Eye?" he looked completely confused.
"What? Let me see," said Valt. "Shuuuuu! You push me away?"
"Don't look at me like that! It's not like I want to."
"I thought that you would be playing yourselves," said Rose. "It seems weird to make you a villain... Who destroys beys?"
Valt went up to the director. "What's the meaning of this? Are you trying to split me and Shu up? We're supposed to be best friends!"
"Don't worry. Shu goes back to normal at the end of the season," said the director.
"I still don't like it," said Valt.
"I really like your acting," Rose was telling Shu. "I cried when I saw how upset you were after Spryzen broke."
"Yeah," said Shu. "I think that I actually cried after that. I was worried that I was overacting."
"You were brilliant," said Rose. "Honestly, your character made me feel so sad. It was awful to watch you all alone with neglectful parents who don't care."
"Yeah. My parents aren't actually like that though. They are pretty busy, but they do care. I think that the writers wanted to make me more relatable."
Valt looked at the two of them. He couldn't help thinking that they would be perfect for each other. If only Shu wasn't already taken...
