I keep remembering-I keep remembering.
My heart has no pity on me.

Atsuki Kuromiya didn't know how long it had been.
He just knew that last night, at about 9:30 pm his younger sister-Katsuki had returned from the Host Club's party, completely asleep and in the end had been carried back to her room by her maid, Yui Kuroiwa.
It was now about 12:23 am. So by his calculation she'd been asleep for about 16 hours straight or so.
Which unfortunately wasn't an unusual thing, when she ran herself into the ground as she probably had, Katsuki could easily sleep for an entire day.
Only this wasn't just any day. It was Christmas day.
Katsuki had always loved Christmas ever since they where children, she used to get up at the crack of dawn along with him to wake up their parents. He could remember one night, they'd stayed up all night long together, watching tv until the sun rose.
He knew Christmas wasn't as big of a deal in Japan as it was in England but they'd been raised in England until he was 12 and she 11. He knew the holiday was still important too her as much as it was too him.
He would have gone and woken her up but the problem was Katsuki was awful at waking up and could turn into an absolute demon if you woke her up. She only got angrier if he was the one who did so. He'd rather avoid getting a lampshade chucked at his head on Christmas day.
Not to mention, she needed her rest. Seeing as she was too damn stubborn to rest most days.
He glanced towards the large pile of presents which sat in the sitting room, still all wrapped up. Neither he nor their mother Mitsuki had started unwrapping there's. It didn't feel right without her. Their mother had even made sure to take the day off work, since after so many years of living in England despite being Japanese she'd developed a fondness for the holiday.
Mitsuki sighed from where she was reading her book on the sofa. 'I hope Kat isn't going to sleep all day long. She'd hate to miss Christmas.'
'Katsuki's still asleep?' Questioned a sharp voice with a giggle.
Atsuki frowning as he turned and saw standing in the doorway were their step-sisters, the twins Ayane and Ayaka.
Thin and petite with fair skin and monolid brown eyes and long black hair that he was 90% certain they both dyed, styled in exactly the same manner as they found it amusing making fun of those who mixed them up, making them stammer and apologize, bangs which framed their faces. The only visible difference was the fact that Ayaka wore a black ribbon headband while Ayane wore a white one.
He'd never really much cared to tell them apart. They where both as insufferable as the other. Not that he couldn't tell them apart. But if they learnt he could very easily tell them apart, they'd pitch a fit so it was easier to just let them think that.
It was also why he was instantly suspicious.
The twins had hated Katsuki from the second they'd met her all because on the occasions she had a flare up and expressed as such it meant they weren't the sole centers of attention.
He knew they tormented her every chance they got and any time Katsuki had tried to say something they'd turned the situation on her and made it look as though she was just angry about having step-sisters or that she wasn't getting attention even though Katsuki had never given a shit about that to begin with.
