For a moment, after Ken saw Pablo and Yani talking seriously in the hallway, Natakot siya. He knows how observant Pablo is, sa tagal na nilang magkakasama, kilala na nila ang isa't-isa. Pablo may be silent and have his own world sometimes, pero alam niyang nagmamasaid ito.
That's one of the things that he and Justin worried about when they had a talk about their feelings for each other, pano mag re-react yung mga ka-grupo nila, how will they accept it, pano na sila kikilos na hindi naiilang, things like that.
They let it pass and tried to ignore it, naisip nilang, to just go with the flow. He knows deep inside na sooner or later hindi naman talaga pwedeng hahayaan nalang, na hihintayin nalang nila ni Justin na makahalata ang mga ito. So he was really planning to tell it to their bandmates, nga lang, mukhang naunahan na siya ni Pablo.
He arrived earlier, and as expected, nauna parin ang tatlo.
"Ken, si Jah?" tanong ni Josh. They were so used na sabay dumating at sabay umuwi ang dalawa.
He smiled sadly. "Ihahatid siya ni kuya Yani," he answered.
Stell automatically looked at Pablo, and Pablo rolled his eyes in response.
"Hello! Goodmorning!" masayang bati ni Justin, and he went straight to Ken. "Oy, Kenken, ay dala kang extra helmet? Sabay ako sayo pauwi ha?"
Instantly, Ken's face lit up. "Oo, 'no! Dala ko naman talaga lagi yun para sayo," he replied.
"Tapos samahan mo ko, may bibilhin lang akong shoes later," he's still smiling.
"Kahit saan Jahjah," sagot niya, then pasimple niyang tiningnan si Pablo. He's trying to catch his reaction, but as expected, wala siyang mabasa sa mukha nito, pero alam niyang narinig nito ang lahat.
After their practice, Pablo approached Justin and asked for his help.
"Jah, stay ka muna ha, patulong ako sa concept. Medyo nao-overwhelm yung utak ko sa ideas, eh?" Pablo said.
"Ha? Eh, Kasi..." Justin pouted, and he glanced at Ken, who was now holding his bag.
Ken smiled. "OKay lang Jahjah, hintayin ko kayo matapos," he assured.
Humarap naman si Pablo sa kanya, "Mauna ka na umuwi, 'dre. Ipagbo-book ko nalang ng grab si Jah. Matatagalan kami."
Ken smiled at him, "Okay lang 'dre, willing to wait." biro niya.
But Pablo remained emotionless, "Mauna ka na, 'dre." ulit nito.
Ken stood right in front of Pablo, leveling his eyes into him. His smile faded, but he remained respectful. "Hihintayin ko si Jah, Pau." he replied in his deepest voice, looking straight into his eyes, not even blinking.
Pablo breathed deeply. "Jah, let's do this para matapos na tayo agad kasi may naghihintay sayo," he said. He gave Ken a sharp look before turning his back to him.
Justin cluelessly glanced back and forth at Ken and Pablo, he suddenly felt tension between the two. Napatingin din siya kina Josh at Stell na tahimik lang na nakikinig. He glanced at Ken once again and nodded at him. Inginuso naman ni Ken si Pablo, kung kaya't pinuntahan na agad niya ito.
