chapter two: hades

Y/N pov:

We arrived at the Isle to collect the kids and we started to drive back to Auradon. Celia tapped me on the shoulder, showing me a pack of cards. I took one and layed it on her hand as Carlos put his head on my shoulder. "You are going to be beautiful and kind lady." She told me.

"She already is." Carlos smiled.

"See? The cards never lie." Celia said, putting her hand out for payment. I quickly handed her some cash as she gasped at how much it was.

We approached the barrier out of the Isle and it opened up for us to pass through. Everyone started to wave goodbye to us, cheering. When we passed through I turned glanced back at them and waved but then suddenly a man with blue hair ran to the border sticking a fist through it to prevent it from shutting fully.

"It's Hades! Stop the car, he's trying to escape!" I gasped as he tried to pull the barrier open.

"I AM A GOD! I don't belong here!" He yelled sticking his head through. Carlos, Jay and Ben tried to run up to him and stop him, but they were quickly zapped to the floor by his ember.

Suddenly, Mals eyes glowed green and purple smoke consumed her. She turned into a massive, dark purple dragon. She started to fight him back and thankfully succeeded. He rolled backwards whilst Mal flew back to the ground. 

I quickly ran over to Carlos to help him up. "Are you okay?" I asked as he stood. He weakly nodded. When Mal landed we all got back into the car and drove back home.

Audrey pov:

"A lifetime of plans. Gone. Your mother could hold on to a prince in her sleep." My grammys voice echoed in my brain.

Audrey: I'm so tired of pretending.
Where's my happy ending?
I followed all the rules,
I drew inside the lines,
I never asked for anything that wasn't mine.
I waited patiently for my time,
But when it finally came, he called her name.

And now I feel this overwhelming pain.
I mean, it's in my veins.
I mean, it's in my brain.
My thoughts are running in a circle like a toy train,
I'm kinda like a perfect picture with a broken frame.
I know exactly who to blame.

I never thought of myself as mean,
I always thought that I'd be the Queen.
And there's no in-between,
'cause if I can't have that then
I will be the leader of the dark and the bad.
Now there's a devil on my shoulder where the angels used to be
and he's calling me the Queen.


Being nice was my past time,
but I've been hurt for the last time.
And I won't ever let another person take advantage of me,
The anger burns my skin, third-degree.

Now my blood's boiling hotter than a fiery sea,
There's nobody getting close to me.
They're gonna bow to the ,
Your nightmare's my dream.
Just wait until they fall to my wicked schemes.

Something is pulling me, it's so magnetic.
My body is moving, unsure where I'm headed.
All of my senses have left me defenseless,
This darkness around me is promising vengeance.
The price that I'm willing to pay is expensive,
There's nothing to lose when you're lonely and friendless!
So my only interest is showing this princess,
that I am the Queen and my reign will be endless!!

I want what I deserve,
I want to rule the world!
Sit back and watch them learn,

Y/N pov:

I was at the royal meeting with Ben, filling in for Mal as she couldnt make it.

"I think we all know why we're here. The people are in a panic about Hades. He almost got out." Beast sighed.

"Who knows what he would've done if he had escaped?" FGM butted in.

"We can't risk having another villain on the loose." Beast spoke. "Every time we open the barrier, we're exposed to danger. Maleficent. Uma. Hades."

Suddenly Bens phone rang and he quickly picked it up. He sighed looking back up at us. "Maleficent's scepter and the queen's crown have been stolen."

Everyone gasped in horror. "Uma!" Beast accused.

"We dont know that, dad!" Ben spoke.

"When the people hear this, they will never wanna leave their houses. What do we tell them?" Belle said, turning to me. "Y/N... What do we do? How do we keep evil out of Auradon?"

I gasped a little, a bit confused why she was asking me, but still gave my honest opinion. "I think that there's only... one way to guarantee their safety. And I think that there...can't be anymore going in and out. I think that we have to close the barrier. Forever."

Everyone but Ben nodded. "No." Ben spoke, betrayed.

"Ben Im sorry but do you have any better ideas?" I asked.

He just stared down at me.

Later, I was with Carlos by the enchanted lake, on a quick little date before my birthday party.

"Who else knows about the crown and the scepter?" He asked as I brought up the fact they had been stolen.

"No one. I mean... Think about it. People were scared enough as it is. We have to employ these entirely new security measures." I sighed.

"Will this delay our bringing over more VKs?" Carlos questioned curiously.

"We're talking about "closing the barrier" for good." I replied.

Carlos butted in. "But you said no? I mean me and the others are living the dream here, and we finally get to share that. I mean, what could be more important than that?"

"Yeah, of course I said no." I lied.

"Is that really what they're thinking? Were they seriously thinking that no one will ever go in and out of the Isle ever again? What, I never get to go back and see my mum? And what about these kids? We promised them that they could go back and visit whenever they wanted." Carlos spoke.

I nervously nodded." Yeah. I know."

"I'm so glad that you were apart of that conversation, for standing up for the VKs. Thank you for telling me." Carlos smiled kissing my nose. "Anyways, I better go and wrap your presents. Happy birthday by the way!" Carlos waved and I sighed as he disappeared from sight.

Hes not going to be very happy when he discovers the truth.
