After a long night of tossing and turning, morning dawned and Teto started to get ready for the day.

She was of course nervous, it was her first day afterall. But it wasn't just that. It was also the script.

From what she had gathered (since Avanna literally explained nothing), this was supposed to be a kid's show. But after reading over it several times, something about it just didn't sit right with her.. Nonetheless, she memorized it all. Not only was it one page, but it also had a lot of repeating phrases, so it was pretty easy.

After a quick breakfast, she grabbed her house keys and phone before making her way to the studio.

As soon as she arrived, Avanna instantly appeared and waved happily. "Hey there!! Ready for your first day?"

Teto was startled at first but then smiled and waved back. "Yeah!"

"Great! Here, I'll show you to your dressing room!" Avanna chirped and walked Teto through the hallway. "Here we are! You'll find your costume in there!" She said as she opened the door.

Teto gave her a small smile and mumbled a quick "Thanks" before stepping into the room. It was a small space with only one mirror, but that was more than enough for her. It wasn't like she was going to be here long anyways.

She closed the door behind her and then looked for her costume. Just as Avanna had said, a blue and white striped shirt with bright red suspenders were neatly folded on the counter. There was also a matching red hat and a pair of yellow gloves placed nearby. She placed her belongings to the side before looking the outfit over for a second and picking it up to get changed.

After a couple of minutes, Teto was about to exit when she heard a soft knock on the door. "Come in." She called out.

The door opened, revealing Avanna and an excited blue haired girl with long twin tails in a blue diner outfit and roller skates behind her. "Oh good! Your costume fits!" Avanna nodded approvingly to Teto while stepping into the room. "Anyways, I wanted to introduce you to Miku here! You two will be working together on the show!"

Teto froze. Miku, as in Hatsune Miku?? She had already had a couple of run ins with her in the past and they never ended well. How would she get along with her for this??

But all her worries dissipated, at least for a moment, when Miku lifted up an outstretched hand and grinned. "Nice to meet you Teto! I'm looking forward to working with you!"

It would have felt comforting... if Teto hadn't already met Miku and known what she was like. There was no mistake that she had hated her last time they met... so what changed..? Miku was acting like that never even happened.

She shook the negative thoughts away and lifted her own hand to shake Miku's. Maybe she just wanted a second chance, and besides, she wanted this job to go smoothly. However, that didn't mean she wasn't skeptical. "Nice to meet you too..."

"Now that you've been introduced to each other, mind if we go to the set? You can meet the director and technician too!" Avanna motioned for the girls to follow her.

After making their way to the main part of the studio, they approached a tall man with dark blue hair in a deep conversation with a younger red haired boy. The taller of the two stopped mid-sentence when he noticed their arrival and gave a welcoming smile.

"Ah, you must be Teto! It's good to finally meet you. I'm Kaito, the director as well as the producer of the show. I've heard a lot of good things about you." Kaito reached out his hand and Teto met it with hers.

"It's good to meet you too! Thank you for having me." She shook his hand with a polite smile.

"Of course! I know how talented you and Miku are!" He smiled and then looked back at the red haired boy as his hand returned to his side. "Speaking of talent, this is our technician, Fukase. He has a lot on his plate, but he is a very hardworking man! He deals with the camera and works on anything related to the editing or broadcasting of the show, it's very impressive!"

Fukase only waved so Teto awkwardly waved back.

"Now that introductions are out of the way, you two should go rehearse!! We're going live in one hour!" Avanna beamed and ushered Teto and Miku on stage.

"O-ONE HOUR!??" Teto yelped, her face filled with disbelief. "So soon??" She had at least expected a bit longer to practice with Miku...

"Yep! We've got to get the first episode up and airing as soon as possible!" Kaito grinned. "I'm sure you two will do just fine, no need to worry yourselves over it."

Avanna nodded enthusiastically. "Oh yes, don't worry! Once you're up there, it'll all feel like you've done it a million times before!"

"Uh... ok then..." Teto scratched the back of her head, a confused look still lingering in her eyes. What kind of studio runs like this?? I've never been in one like it...

She snapped out of her thoughts at the sound of an excited voice. "Come on Teto!! Let's go rehearse!!!" Miku bounced up and down before grabbing her hand and bounding over to the set.

The two girls stood in front of a large green screen. It was pretty much the only part of the room that wasn't covered in eye bleeding colors, although it wasn't like the bright green was any better. "Ok! Let's start practicing, we don't have much time!"

Miku stood to Teto's right and they began to practice their new dance routine. It was pretty easy, much to Teto's relief, but she still wished Avanna or Kaito or someone would've told her earlier that they were going live first thing that morning!

Around 30 minutes later, Avanna stopped by and clapped her hands together. "Oh you girls are doing just wonderful! I believe you're more than prepared for the show! Why don't you two take a quick break? Fukase is going to set up the camera and we can test everything out to make sure it all works afterwards!"

Teto nodded and followed Miku back to the dressing room from before. She didn't realize she would be sharing one with her until now, but oh well. Once they were inside and sat down to rest, Teto looked over at Miku curiously. "Soo.. how long have you been here?"

Miku looked over to her with a wide grin. "Oh! I... hm! I don't know! I forgot!" She giggled. "Silly me!"

"Oh?" That was kind of weird. Didn't they just start offering jobs like a couple of weeks ago? How could Miku already forget? She either had been here ever since or maybe a couple of days ago... it wasn't a hard question.

"Yeah! It's pretty great though, I never ever want to leave!" Miku beamed.

"Oh. Uh yeah cool." Teto mumbled and looked around the dressing room again. Her eyes lingered on the counter below the mirror for a moment before getting up to go over to it. "Hey uh Miku..? Have you seen my phone or keys?"

"Huh?" Miku tilted her head and paused for a moment. "No I don't think I have..."

Teto's eyes narrowed. Who else would've been in here besides Miku! "Are you sure..? Like, you didn't take them or anything..."

"What!! Noooo I wouldn't do that!!"

Teto glanced back over at Miku and to her surprise she looked almost on the verge of tears from the accusation. "O-oh sorry I didn't mean it..." She quickly corrected herself. But this still didnt feel right... She was sure she didnt misplace her things, so who else would have been in the dressing room? Avanna? Kaito? Fukase? They were the only people she had seen in the studio so far. And if so, why would they even want to take her stuff?? It wasn't making any sense, but it sure made her feel uneasy.

She jumped at a sudden knock on the door, shattering her thoughts. "Hey! I just wanted to let you know Fukase is all set up now, so we can run through the performance!" Avanna called through the door.

Miku's expression instantly turned from sad to excited. "Oh yay!!! Come on Teto, let's go!!" She cheered and raced to open the door.

Teto inwardly sighed but followed her out. She wasn't going to let this slide, but she would just have to confront Avanna after the performance. No reason to make her problem Miku's problem and stall the show, right?
