INT. VOUGHT TOWER - MADELYN STILLWELL'S OFFICE - DAY

Homelander stands at the door of Madelyn Stillwell's office. He knocks once and then enters without waiting for a response. Madelyn Stillwell looks up from her desk, her expression serious.

Ms. Stillwell: "Homelander, come in. We need to talk."

Homelander: "What's this about, Madelyn?"

Stillwell gestures for him to sit, but Homelander remains standing, crossing his arms.

Ms. Stillwell: "There's been a development regarding the Great Wide Wonder's death."

Homelander's eyes narrow slightly, a hint of concern crossing his face.

Homelander: "What kind of development?"

Ms. Stillwell: "Our forensics team found an unknown substance in his body. This substance may have caused his death."

Homelander: "Unknown substance? What do you mean unknown substance?"

We don't know what it is yet. It doesn't seem to be any known drug."

Homelander processes this information, his expression growing more intense.

Homelander: "So what do you want me to do about it?"

Ms. Stillwell: "I want you to do some digging. Find out everything you can about what happened to the Great Wide Wonder. Who he was last in contact with him, who might have wanted him dead, and most importantly, where this substance came from."

Homelander nods.

Homelander: "I'll get to the bottom of it."

Ms. Stillwell: "Good. And Homelander?"

Homelander turns to leave but pauses at the door, looking back at her.

Ms. Stillwell: "Be discreet."

With that, he turns and strides out of the office, determination in his eyes as he prepares to uncover the truth behind the Great Wide Wonder's death.

INT. VOUGHT TOWER - SEVEN MEETING ROOM - DAY

The room is filled with tension as the remaining members of the Seven sit around the table. Homelander is noticeably absent. The Deep fidgets uncomfortably, while A-Train looks irritated. Y/N, still adjusting to the dynamics of the group, sits silently.

Deep: "I can't believe the Great Wide Wonder and Ironcast are dead."

A-Train: "Yeah, and to think this all started when you arrived, new guy."

Y/N looks confused.

Y/N: "What do you mean?"

Maeve immediately picks up on what A-Train is insinuating.

Maeve: "Shut up, A-Train."

What? I'm just saying. Jack showed up dead in an alleyway not long after the new guy here joined the Seven. And not only did Jack die, but Ironcast and the Great Wide Wonder too.

Deep: "That is a little weird."

A-Train: "See? Even Deep sees how strange it is, and he's a complete idiot."

Deep: "Hey!"

Suddenly, the door bursts open and Homelander strides in, radiating authority.

Homelander: "Everyone, shut the fuck up."

He takes his seat at the head of the table, the room falling silent.

Homelander: "What's on the agenda today?"
