Vedika's PoV

We reached the school building though it was just 30 mins away but for me it felt like thirty years

"Are you nervous about your first day?" he asked suddenly, breaking the silence.

His question took me by surprise, and I nodded. "A little," I admitted, my voice still small.

He glanced at me again, his gaze softer this time. "You'll be fine, Vedika. Natasha will be with you, and you're stronger than you think."

His words, so unexpected, made my heart flutter. "Thank you," I whispered, feeling a bit more at ease.

He is not that rude as he seems I thought

"I should leave now," I told Advay, reaching for the door handle. Just as I was about to step out, I felt a sudden, firm grip on my wrist. In one swift motion, Advay pulled me back towards him.

My heart skipped a beat as I stared at him, wide-eyed and baffled. What just happened?

His eyes locked onto mine with an intensity that made my breath catch. Slowly, he leaned in closer, his face mere inches from mine. My mind raced. What is he doing? Is he going to kiss me?

I closed my eyes, overwhelmed by the proximity and the unfamiliar rush of emotions. I could feel his warm breath on my face, and my breathing grew heavy. Never had a boy been this close to me before.

Then, I felt his hand caressing my cheek gently, sending shivers down my spine. His touch was tender, almost reverent. "Here," he said softly, breaking the spell. I opened my eyes, still dazed.

"Give me your hand," he instructed. I looked at him, puzzled, but his gaze was steady and reassuring. He took my hand, carefully making it into a fist.

"Make a wish," he said, placing something delicate on my palm.

I glanced down and saw a tiny eyelash. Oh, so he was just removing my eyelash. And here I was thinking...

I felt my cheeks heat up, embarrassed by my own thoughts. But the way he was looking at me, with a mix of amusement and something deeper, made my heart race all over again.

"Go on," he urged softly. "Make a wish."

I closed my eyes briefly, made a wish, and then blew the eyelash away. When I opened my eyes, he was still watching me, a small smile playing on his lips.

"Thank you," I said, my voice barely above a whisper.

"For what?" he asked, his voice equally soft.

"For...everything," I replied, feeling a strange mix of emotions.

He leaned back, his expression shifting back to the composed, slightly distant one he usually wore. "You should go."

I nodded, finally stepping out of the car. As I walked towards the school gate, I could still feel the warmth of his touch on my cheek, the memory of his gentle command lingering in my mind.

I entered my classroom, feeling the weight of countless curious eyes on me. Most of the seats were already taken, and the room buzzed with chatter and laughter. I scanned the rows, searching for a place to sit, and finally spotted an empty chair next to the window. With a sigh of relief, I made my way over and sat down, setting my bag on the chair next to me to save it for Natasha.

The room was filled with animated conversations, groups of friends catching up and sharing stories. I sat there quietly, unsure of how to start a conversation with anyone. The minutes felt like hours as I glanced around, hoping to see a friendly face.
