Jisoo's POV

The situation after that, was calm, just like the weather that prevails after a storm. The air was thick with tension and unanswered questions. No single sound was heard from the ground party floor.

I clutched onto the sofa processing all that happened few minutes ago. The bullet had grazed over my head and hit the man's forehead. What if the bullet hit me instead? Would I be alive till now?

Jungkook's target was precise. But I could never imagine being a victim of a tangled situation.

From the conversation between Agust D's man and Rosé's dad, it's undoubtedly evident that they have connections, and Jeon Jungkook is also a great significant piece in this chess.

Rosé stood infront of me, her arms crossed and slightly head bowed down as she stared at the carpet. She looked up at my face, "Let me bring some water." She turned to the table for water.

"Rosé?" I muttered at which she came back and placed a glass in my hand. I drank it in one sip and stared at her, "Are you ok?"

Her eyes faded up hearing my question, she's definitely not okay. "This should be my question to you, Jisoo, all of these happened because of us," she replied back putting her palm on my knee.

"This is not your fault that the mafia wanted to cause chaos, stop balming yourself," I uttered.

She said in low tone, "I just wanted everything to be alright soon. I thought, if I leave Korea, that will be over. That's why I left for US. But nothing's changed, really."

I tried to process her words, what is she talking about? Leaving Korea? Left for US?

I passed her a confused look, "What are you saying? Didn't you leave to study there?"

"But this was not the only reason, my dad never wanted me to stay here, it was too risky and never ensured my safety," she said, her words tangling my thoughts and causing me more concern.

"What's wrong, Rosé?" I asked furrowing my eyebrows a little, but she hesitated, unsure if talking to me about this matter will be a right choice.

Rosé finally opened up unveiling the whole situation. Rosé's dad, Mr. Park has some mafia connections. And with Agust D, he used to do drugs trafficking abroad for ten years. They also signed many agreements to share the profits equally. They had a business relationship, and beyond that, they had no concern for their personal matters.

"I know these drug trafficking are illegal, but I was disabled to protest against my dad," I listened to her as she described, "But, everything ruined because of my dad's greed, he betrayed the mafia. And that put my life in danger. Agust D raged, he threatened dad that if he didn't surrender to him, he will kill me. I was attacked several times when I was a teenager."

She paused, recalling those memories from her past. She continued, "To get relief from him, he even changed his surname to be 'Park' from 'Jeon' and faked my identity to be 'Park Rosé'. But it was of no use."

My jaw dropped, so she's a Jeon? I just can't imagine it that Rosé and her dad are associated with Jungkook.

"Jeon...?" I muttered, "You are a Jeon?" Rosé sighed, "I am. I feel sorry that I lied about my identity to you and Tae. I had no choice."

I calmed my mind. I looked at her eyes, "Rosé? If I ask you something, will you answer it truly?"

She uttered, "What is it, Soo?" I asked in a low tone, "Do you have any connections with Jungkook?"

Rosé looked hesitant. She retorted, "Jeon Jungkook.....? He's my stepbrother." My surroundings seemed to spin around me. I asked with confusions, "Jungkook is your step-brother? How.....how is this possible?"
