//Mikaela's pov//

I woke up to the sound of my door closing. I turned on the light and saw Gael standing in the doorframe.

His white shirt was covered in blood and he was all sweaty. "What the hell did you do?" I asked and got up.

"I killed him" Gael whispered. "Who?" I asked. "Michael" Gael said. "What?" I asked. "I killed him!" Gael shouted. "He's leader of a drug cartel they're going to kill you!" I shouted. "We gotta flee" Gael said. "We?" I asked. "They're coming after, mom, you, dad and Sophia" Gael whispered. "Sophia? What the hell is wrong with you?" I shouted.
"Stop yelling and listen!" Gael shouted," dad is getting out of jail tonight. We're picking up mom. Shes staying with my bodyguards" Gael explained. "I will not be exposing my daughter to that" I shouted. "Then make a choice" Gael said and turned around.

"What choice?" I asked as he went through my closet. He pulled out a black tee and slid it on. "You either bring her along or you give her to Kevin" Gael said. "Are you insane I will not be giving up my daughter" I shouted. "You either let him take care of her or you risk getting her killed" Gael shouted and grabbed me by the shoulders. "Swallow your pride and think of your daughter" Gael said. "I'll be back in two hours to pick you up, make up your mind" Gael said and walked out.

I walked over to Sophia's room and stood in front of her. "I have to make the right choice" I said and grabbed her baby bag.

I walked into my room and took a shower.

I changed into a black jumper with a white skull on the front. A pair of ripped blue skinny jeans and a pair of black vans.

I dried my hair and straightened it. I added foundation and mascara.

After I fed Sophia I changed her into a white onesie. I zipped up her jacket and placed her in her baby carriage and walked out with her baby bag.

I got into the car and drove off.

"Can I help you?" A tall girl with black hair asked. "Is Kevin home?" I asked.

A couple minutes later Kevin arrived.

"Mikaela what are you doing here?" Kevin asked. "You wanted Sophia, here she is" I said and handed Sophia to Kevin.

"What?"Kevin asked. "She's all yours. I-I don't want her" I said trying not to choke up.

"You're just giving her to me?" Kevin asked. "I'm going on a trip to Europe. Big photography project" I said," a baby would just slow me down" I said," the birth certificate is in the bag. She already ate" I said and walked down the stairs. "Take care of her" I said before getting in my car and driving off.

I drove off to Gael's safe house and walked out.

"Mom" I said and ran to hug her. "Honey" mom said and hugged me. "Lets go" Gael said as he arrived with dad. "If something happens to my daughter I will never ever forgive you" I said to Gael and walked past him.
