(I awaken. Vision blurry, Starved, Beaten, Bloody. Surrounded by corpses of..people, clad in some..strange, seemingly high tech armor.. and the even stranger looking creatures. Lying around or on-top of them. From what I could make out, they were..Horrific looking. Luckily dead. The room I was in was extremely large. And..seemed to be some-kind of control room..? But, I couldn't say for certain due to the sheer state of disrepair everything around me was in.)(I found it difficult to even move. Let alone stand up. But the fact that I was in an absolutely horrific, disgusting bloodbath of an area, with absolutely abhorrent smells bombarding my nostrils, prompted me to gather my strength, and stand up off of the vile floor.)
"What..What the hell..?"
(I mumble to myself, As I stand up, and my vision clears. I look down at my body. I myself was wearing what seemed to be A much larger, bulkier variant of the suits the corpses had on..was I one of them?)
(I look around for A moment. I..didn't know where I was at all, but, this..building, or..facility? Whatever it was, from what I saw from the gaping holes in the walls, was massive for starters. I seemed to be on an extremely A high floor, overlooking the horizon. My body wasn't in that well of A shape at all, so climbing down from one of the gaping holes in the walls was NOT going to be an option. Though, other then that, what caught my attention the most was the fact that wherever I had woken up at, was..right next to An absolutely gargantuan, burning inferno of A city. This..city.. feels...familiar? Yet, at the same time I..can't remember A thing about it. Whatever memories that we're there, we're blurred and fuzzy. Incomprehensible almost. The only thing I ever got from even attempting to remember anything, was an even bigger headache. Which, honestly, compared to the pain in the rest of my body, wasn't really that bad.)
"Ugh..I already know that whatever this all is, is going to be A pain in the ass.."
(I mumbled to myself, as I turned, looking around once more Eventually seeing what seems to be some..automatic door. Though, now far too damaged to function. I shambled up to it, before reaching both of my arms forwards to grab onto it, and with A grunt, I surprisingly manage to pry it open with my bare hands. I begin stumbling out of the room. Into An almost pitch black hallway. With only A single line of barely functioning, flickering lights to guide my path.. Going through it. I can barely make our the remains of more of those individuals. Their bodies were everywhere. There seemed to be A logo on the wall next to me. Saying 'THE V.P.U SHALL PREVAIL.' Or something along the lines of that. But, what caught my attention much more was the fact that..blood, stained the walls, the smell was arguably worse and made me want to puke, and I begin to hear..distant screeches and howls coming from, what I assumed to be other parts of this vessel. fear and anxiety slowly began oozing their way into my body. After briefly taking A close look at the bodies through the darkness, I leaned down to the closest body, before beginning to search it. Eventually finding A..weird looking rifle of some-kind. Along with some ammo. It all looked..highly advanced. Alien almost, yet, I can feel A sense of..familiarity from it..)
(...After A bit of fidgeting, I manage to load the strange rifle, I look ahead and continued forwards. A little quicker this time. Almost tripping and falling over A few bodies A couple of times. Occasionally stopping to collect some more ammo from the corpses around..)
"URGH!"
(With Another loud grunt, I forced the next door open. It lead into some-kind of stairwell. I quickly began making my way downwards. And once again, I heard those same howls and screeches. This time, much closer. This caused my entire body to become tense, as I began to speed up much more. I eventually had passed A few vents. I heard quiet tapping and movement coming from one next to me. I made sure to keep away, before continuing downwards. Even faster now. I could hear..movement, coming from within the ventilation system all around me. Whatever this thing was, it seemed to be following me. Keeping up with my own movement with relative ease..)
