The next day, Jungkook woke up and rubbed his eyes to clear his vision. He looked around to find himself alone in bed. Noticing his clothes were properly arranged on his body, he rushed to the washroom and unbuttoned his shirt. He removed his shirt and examined his breast, finding faint marks.

Jungkook's face flushed as he recalled the previous night's incident. He gently touched his chest, remembering Taehyung's tender touch.

Quickly, he removed his clothes and took a shower before dressing in fresh attire.

After that, Jungkook headed to the dining table and greeted his parents with a small smile before starting his breakfast. Once he finished eating, he hurried to his room and retrieved his laptop from the cupboard to tackle some work.

Mrs. Jeon was busy with some work when she received a call. She picked up the phone and greeted the person on the other end. After a brief conversation, Mrs. Jeon hurriedly called out to Kook.

"Kookie Bunny, come down!" she shouted, hearing the sound of footsteps before Kook appeared in front of her with his laptop in hand.

"Yes, mom, what's up?" Kook asked, looking confused about why his mom had called him.

"Your mother-in-law is on the line, she wants to talk to you," Mrs. Jeon said, as Kook nodded and took the phone from her hand, putting it to his ear.

"Yes, mother?" he said respectfully.

"Sorry dear for disturbing your time with your parents," Mrs. Kim apologized from the other end of the call.

"No need to apologize, mother, it's okay. What's going on? Is everything alright?" Kook asked politely.

"everything is alright, dear. It's just Taehyung again. He slipped into his headspace and was asking about you. When we told him you weren't here, he started crying and wants to see you now," Mrs. Kim explained, glancing at little Taetae, who was wiping his runny nose.

."Eomma, if possible, can I have a word with him?" Kook asked, hearing a gentle hum from the other end.

"Yes, dear, wait," Mrs. Kim replied, then spoke to Taetae, "Taetae, your wifey wants to talk to you."

She put the phone on speaker and placed it in front of Taetae. "Hlww, wifeu," Taetae said in his cute voice.

"Yes, Taetae, it's wifeu. Why are you crying, baby? Wifey didn't go anywhere. Wifey just went to get lots of candies for you. Wifey will come after getting toffees for my baby. Be a good boy and don't cry, okay, precious baby?" Kook cooed, trying to console Taetae, who was gazing at the phone, mesmerized by his wifey's voice.

"No-no want toffee, just want wifey, Wifey come to Taetae, plss," Taetae pleaded with a vulnerable voice.

"Yes, yes, baby, wifey will come, okay? I'm coming, my precious bear," Kook reassured, quickly packing his bags, ready to head back to the Kim mansion.

After consoling Taetae, Kook ended the call and returned the phone to Mrs. Jeon. "Eomma, I think it's time for me to go back where I belong now," Kook said, noticing his mother's eyes becoming saddened.

"Eomma, please don't be sad. You can come visit me anytime you want, okay? If you're sad, how can I leave?" Kook added, trying to comfort his mother, who was visibly upset.

"At least stay for a while until your father arrives. He can drop you off at the Kim mansion afterwards," Mrs. Jeon said, trying to hide her sadness.

She knew that one day, Kook would leave forever, and now that day had come. Kook was no longer a Jeon; he had become a Kim, a part of his husband's family. He belonged to them now. With sad eyes, Kook walked towards his mother and hugged her tightly.
