The mornin' sun slipped through the blinds, painting lines of light across Indigo's bed. She stirred, slow to wake, and as she did, she felt two warm bodies on either side of her. Katrell was on one side, his arm wrapped around her waist, snug and tight. Kordell was on the other, his hand resting on her shoulder, fingers just barely grazin' her skin. The heat of the night before lingered in the air, along with that unmistakable tension that hummed between 'em.Flashes of the club hit her mind—Katrell's hand on her back as they moved close, Kordell's fingers slipping through hers when they found a dark corner to catch their breath. They'd been flirtin' hard, dancin' even harder, and when they'd finally made it back to her place, there was no denying what was in the air. Yet, even now, in the hazy morning light, that electricity was still buzzin'.
Indigo shifted carefully, tryin' not to wake them, and made her way to the bathroom. She splashed water on her face, breathin' deep as she looked at her reflection. She was smilin', a little flushed from the memories. It had felt good to let go, to just be in the moment with them. But even as she felt grounded in the mornin' light, the tension from last night hadn't gone nowhere.
When she went back to the bedroom, Katrell was awake, propped up on one elbow, watchin' her. His eyes, still heavy from sleep, had that familiar look—soft and warm, but with a heat underneath.
"Mornin'," he mumbled, his voice a low rumble that made her heart skip a beat.
"Mornin'," she replied, leanin' against the doorframe. Kordell started to wake up then, stretchin' his long arms, and shootin' her a grin that was all mischief.
"Mm, look at who's up. You sleep good, baby?" he teased, his voice flirtin' with every word. He looked her up and down, and Indigo felt her cheeks warm under his gaze.
"Yeah, I did," she said, glancin' away with a smile. The three of them were too close, the air thick with a tension that ain't had no business bein' there after a night like that. But that's just how it was with them—always on the edge, playin' with fire, and never quite puttin' it out.
Katrell sat up, lettin' his gaze linger on her a second longer than usual. "You sure you're alright?" he asked, his tone soft, but there was somethin' else there too, like he was askin' her somethin' more.
Indigo met his eyes, feelin' the pull between them, that silent question hangin' in the air. "I'm good, Katrell. Really good," she said, and she meant it. But the way he was lookin' at her, like he wanted to say somethin' else, or maybe just pick up where they'd left off, had her wonderin' if she was ready to let the mornin' end things.
Kordell was watchin' 'em both, his own smirk spreadin' wide. "I know y'all feelin' that breakfast vibe, but I think y'all tryna skip a step," he teased, throwin' Indigo a wink.
She let out a laugh, shakin' her head, but inside, her pulse was racing. Katrell chuckled too, leanin' in a bit, his voice just a whisper. "He ain't wrong, though," he said, his eyes flickin' to her lips for a moment, before lookin' back up at her.
The tension hung heavy, the silence speakin' louder than words ever could. But before things could heat up again, Indigo took a breath, breakin' the spell with a smirk of her own. "Y'all don't know how to quit," she teased, her tone light, but they both knew what was underneath it.
Kordell laughed, standin' up and stretchin'. "Guess we'll keep it light then—let's go eat, huh? Maybe get some fresh air," he said, givin' her a grin that promised they weren't done yet. Not by a long shot.
As they got dressed, Indigo could feel Katrell and Kordell's eyes on her, that silent question still hangin' between them. But for now, they were gonna keep things in check—get some breakfast, clear their heads, and see where the day took 'em. But she knew one thing for sure: that fire from last night? It was far from out. And somethin' told her they'd be playin' with it again, sooner than later.
