Let's Do Something Canadian

Leah's POV:

Earlier that day

"And then, and then" Aryan can't even finish his story, he's laughing so much, "and then Leah trips over what? A stool? Falling into the fridge." he's got tears in his eyes. Daniel bursts out laughing and I let out a small chuckle.

"Yeah okay. But one time Aryan went a good two hours with sharpie all over his face before even realizing." I quip back somewhat embarrassed by the story of me falling into a mini fridge.

"Two hours man?"

"I didn't have my phone on me! No one was treating me any differently which is a bit rude by the way." Aryan says feigning hurt. Walker's completely zoned out looking straight at my hand. I kick his shin to get his attention. He just nods back. And our food arrives, I am starving and suddenly I've got tunnel vision for my soup. After some silent devouring I look up across at Walker who looks like he's trying to inhale his crab, I stare down at my empty soup bowl, which is delicious by the way.

Right before we head back to the hotel Walker quickly tells us he's got to go check something out. It's abrupt and suspicious but I know he'd invite us if he wanted us to tag along.

"What do you guys think that's about?" Aryan asks.

"Maybe he's got a date." Daniel replies.

"A date? Dude, we just had lunch."

"He's not on a date," I say laughing at that idea, "he's probably just going shopping or something."

"Anyways, do you guys wanna do something when we get back?"

"What were you thinking?" I ask back to Aryan.

"Maybe we could watch a horror film or something." Daniel suggests.

"Yeah sure! I'm down."

We get back to the hotel and all head up to Daniel's room. His place is a bit smaller because he's got a single room, whereas most of us have two rooms, one for us, the other for our parent(s). We all get comfy on the sofa with blankets and Daniel decides to put on IT. I get into around 20 minutes of the movie before falling asleep on Aryans' shoulder, snoozing and drooling on him for the next two hours.

"Leaahhh."

"What."

"The movie's over."

"Oh," I say, lifting my head getting used to my surroundings again, "I'm gonna head back to my place."

"You sure? We were thinking about going over our lines." Daniel asks.

"Yeah I'm okay. Thanks, but I've got those babies pat down front and back." Gathering my coat and things, I bid them both a goodbye.

I send Walker a text to see what he's up to. He responds with a photo of him and his mom eating soup, and tagging it with 'good soup'. I chuckle plugging in my phone in my room before heading back to the kitchen to help my mother with dinner. Tonight we're making a delicious casserole. We dance around singing some iconic 90s songs. Jennifer Lopez is singing loudly 'Waiting for tonight' before my mom turns the music down a few notches.

"Baby your birthday is coming up soon! What would you like to do?" She asks. She always makes a big deal of our birthdays. My family always makes sure to return the favour on her big day too.

"I don't know Mama. We're filming that day, but the weekend before we've got off. Maybe we can have a nice little dinner with some of the cast?"

"Just a dinner honey? We're in Canada! Let's do something Canadian."

"Okay.. what were you thinking?"

"Maybe the two of us can take a little road trip with Walker and Heather up to Banff! We could fly into Calgary and drive up for the night or two." (A/N I'm calgarian yall and i'm sick off banff, though I can describe it front and back lol)

"Oh that would be really fun mama! I don't want to put them out though."

She scoffs at me, "Heather and I have had this planned for weeks! They're good to go." I laugh at the fact that she asked me what I wanted to do, while already having a plan set in motion. Maybe she was expecting my birthday dinner comment considering it's usually the only thing I ask for. She knows me too well. I give her a giant hug. Well looks like we're spending my birthday weekend up in Banff! My mom turns the music back up and 'I want you to want me' by Letters to Cleo, and we burst out singing. I start to google the beautiful scenery that is Banff and I get even more excited. We were pretty disappointed when we didn't get the opportunity to head down there last season, but we knew we'd be back.

Aftering belting my own rendition of 'Because You Loved Me' by Celine Dion, my mom brings up a topic we've been discussing lately. I've never been too interested in being a singer, but maybe acting in a musical? That could be something I'd love. Obviously for the future considering I signed a hefty contract for the next two seasons of PJO.

"You know that coach we were looking into? Ms Allison? I heard she's got some classes opening up in March. It would be perfect timing, and I heard she works well with schedules so if you happen to be away I think you could just reschedule, or maybe do an online class. Are you interested? Would you like me to contact Shelby to see if she could get in contact with them?" She's always been my number one fan. For everything. I know that if I wanted to fully have a career change to potentially music, or even to quit the industry all together, she'd be in full support.

"That'd be awesome mama, thank you!" When we had first heard about Ms Allison we found out she specializes in more musical based songs and techniques. It'd be super exciting to be mentored by her. I even heard she had mentored Sadie Sink at some point. (A/N sorry guys just pulling names out of my ass right now. Idk who mentored sadie but she's great) Maybe I'll contact Sadie at some point to see how she felt about the classes.

Later that night Walker comes over. As I'm listening to the sound of the popcorn popping I let him in. He looks like a giant teddy bear, wearing a matching oversized brown hoodie and sweatpants.

We finish the last episode and then debrief the hell out of it. I am so addicted to this show.

"Hey Walk? My mom mentioned something about going up to Banff with you and your mom for my birthday. That could be fun."

"Oh yeah!! My mom told me but had mentioned not to say anything until you bring it up in case it's a surprise. But then I told her you hate surprises but she threatened not allowing me to go if I spoil it for you. So I've been holding this very exciting secret from you for weeks and I think you should be proud." He's so cute.

"Ha, I am so proud that you kept the secret Walker." I say laughing out loud. He just smiles at me with admiration in his eyes.
