"I GOT YOUR TEXT, WHAT'S the big emergency?" Danny asked, he was waving his phone around as he entered the apartment that belonged to Nick, Winston, Schmidt and Jess, looking confused when he spotted the guys sitting on the couch, their faces showing that they were just as confused as he was. Whilst Jess stood in front of them, her hands on her hips, sighing in relief when she spotted Danny finally entering.

She gestured for him to take a seat on the couch. He furrowed his brows but went and sat down beside Nick after shoving his phone back into his pocket.

"Okay, so..." Jess said, clasping her hands together. She paced slightly, "...I need to talk to you guys about something. Especially you Danny."

The four men all shared confused looks with one another before looking back at the pacing woman.

"Can you stop pacing? You're making me dizzy," Schmidt told her.

"So, Danny, you know how you said you were potentially thinking of getting a roommate?" Jess questioned, chewing her bottom lip as she looked over at her friend.

Danny nodded his head slowly.

He had given it a slight thought, seeing as the apartment was getting lonelier now that his aunt (whom he lived with in the apartment since he was sixteen) was dead. Sometimes one of the guys would crash there, particularly if Jess was going through a break-up which included Dirty Dancing on repeat or lying in her bedroom listening to one song over and over again.

"I hope you don't mind – if you do I totally understand and I will figure something else out – but my younger sister needs a place to stay..." Jess said in a rushed voice, practically not even breathing as she spoke, "...And I invited her here, but, I guess, we don't really have much room for another person here, and you have a spare room and I was just thinking that maybe, if you don't mind--"

"You want her to stay with me?" Danny asked, ending Jess' far too long ramble.

She exhaled shakily and nodded, "Yeah. She's really lovely, but she's just gotten out of a really bad break up and she needed a new place and I miss her so I wanted her to be closer. She's been living in New York for the past, like, five years and I barely see her--"

"Jess," Nick interrupted her, waving his hands to show her to get to the point.

"Right, yeah, sorry. I just...I was wondering if it's okay with you Danny?" She asked, "It's not for long. Just until she finds her own place here and she said she'll pay rent--"

"Jess, calm down," Danny told her, holding his hands out towards the brunette, "It's fine. She can stay as long as she needs to."

Jess let out a loud sigh of relief, "Really?" She asked.

Danny nodded, "Of course. You're my friend and she's your family. I'm more than willing to help her out."

Jess let out an excited squeal and rushed over towards him, pulling him into a tight hug, swaying them side to side, "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!"

Danny chuckled as he patted Jess' back lightly, "It's fine, Jess. When is she getting here?"

"Hold on. Hold on," Schmidt said, waving his hand and causing Jess to pull away from Danny and look Schmidt's way, "How much younger are we talking?"

Jess shrugged, "She just turned twenty-six."

Schmidt grinned and nodded his head approvingly, "Going through a break up, huh?" He muttered to himself as he leaned back on the couch.

Jess' instantly frowned and pointed a finger at him, "No, Schmidt! No!" She barked, "You will not try anything with my sister, you hear me? Stay away, she's too vulnerable right now."

Schmidt kept a small smirk on his face as he shrugged.

"Back to Danny's question, when is she getting here?" Nick wondered.

Jess finally tore her eyes from Schmidt, she bit her lip just as a knock was heard at the door, "Now."
