"Lydiaaaa."Turning after hearing her name being called. Lydia smiles at the approaching Brea and links arms with her. "So winter formal is coming up in a couple of weeks. We need to all go dress shopping for it. I was thinking we go in two weeks. You, me, Allison. We have to find you a date for formal. I know some guys that have been ogling you from afar. There's...Paxton, Jared, Seth, and Hunter. All part of the lacrosse team." Lydia finishes and I shrug. "I was thinking of going alone."
"No, no, absolutely not. I'll be going with Jackson and you will go with one of the lacrosse players. No question."
Jackson approaches and Lydia breaks away to give him a kiss Jackson returns. Pulling away, Jackson looks at me and smiles. "Hey Brea. Sit with us at lunch today okay."
"Alright, will do see you both at Lunch."
Heading to class, I enter quickly right as the bell rings. Sitting in the back of the class, I get out what I need before looking out the window. Hearing conversation in the distance. I turn my head and see Stiles and Scott running through the doorway. "You're late Stilinski, McCall."
Stiles sits in front of me and I keep looking out the window. Class drones on and I hear conversation going back and forth between the two teens and I raise a brow at their not so subtle whispering. "Boys, you are the worst at whispering." I finally speak up and they jump and turn to me and I smile. "Who's Derek Hale? And why do we hate him?"
"Uh....uhm....no one, we don't hate him. Like at all. We.we.we Scott help."
"Hey." I say softly laying my hand on his arm. Fingertips barely setting on his skin my heart jumps a beat. My skin rises with goosebumps. My hair on the back of my neck stands up. My breath shudders and I'm making eye contact with Stiles. From the look of his face, he feels the same things and I let my hand fall before I smell the Strawberries and Cream coming from him. "Oh no." I think to myself before I feel my fangs elongating and I gather my things and stand up quickly. Ignoring the teachers calls, I head for my car. I fight my natural urges to go back in and sink my teeth into his neck. "That's progress."
Seeing Grayson chatting up a girl in the hallway he looks up at me and his smile that was once on his face drops seeing my state. Telling the girl a quick good bye he follows after me ushering me outside to get fresh air.
"Gray...it's him. I touched him. Accidentally. It happened. What my mother wrote about. I have to find everything in my power to stop myself from going back in there and ripping into his carotid." I whisper looking around. Seeing the boy in question with his best friend looking around for me. I look at Gray and suck in a breath softly. "I can't be near him right now, it was a mistake touching him so soon. I'm not truly as prepared as I wanted to be. It's stronger than I thought."
"C'mon, we will go to my house and you can catch your breath okay."
"Don't you have practice?"
"Not today no, coach let us have a break today."
Hearing my name being called I look back at Stiles. Mistake numero uno. I'm covered in sweat. My gums hurt from my fangs and all I want to do is drink his blood. My heart pounds as he quickens his steps along with Scott. I feel my anxiety swell and I'm covering my nose. His scent gets closer and stronger. I shudder a breath and get into Gray's dodge truck. "Drive!"
Pulling out quickly, I sit back and close my eyes. "God! He probably thinks I'm crazy."
"No if anyone is crazy it's Stiles. I done a lot of research. The bond formed. He feels it now. He felt it before but only dulled. He knows where I live by the way and he will come after us. The pull of the bond will want him to come to you."
