"Does this dress make me look fat?"

"No Lydia, it doesn't." I say behind her in the mirror running my hands down the dress. "This color doesn't suit your skin tone. Try the champagne one. I'll be back, I'm going to pick me out a dress or two." I tell her while she nods going back into the changing rooms.

Running my hands over the protective coverings Stiles comes up beside me. "Look I'm sorry but Allison asked me to be Lydia's date." Stiles says and I shrug. "We're not dating Stiles. You're my blood singer. You help me and I help you with your calculus homework." I tell him with a smile while he huffs out and looks away from me before looking back opening his mouth to reply but I don't let him.

"Yes I know Jackson and Lydia broke up. Jackson told me they did but the why...he didn't crack when I tried to pressure it out of him. Stiles, again...we're not dating yes we've kissed but it hasn't gone past that. I know we are meant to be together. Allison and I both agreed that Lydia shouldn't go alone and we chose you to take her." I say while picking out a deep blue dress and looking at it. "Stiles get over here and help me pick out more dresses." Lydia calls and I look at him with a smile. "Duty calls."

Glancing back at the dress, I feel someone behind me and I turn seeing a man and I furrow my brows. "The blue is pretty but this red one suits you more." The man says holding the deep red dress up to me. "It's pretty." I say taking it from him. "It's a little out of my budget." I whisper to myself. "I'll pay for it." The man says and my eyes widen looking up at him. "What?" I call taking a step back and looking back at the red dress. "I couldn't ask that of you." he stops me taking the dress from my hands and walking away to the check out line. "I wouldn't love anything more than to buy this for you." He replies and I bite my cheek looking away for my friends who I don't see. My senses are telling me this is a bad idea but he persists on buying it for me and I allow it. Just this once.

"Will that be all?" The woman asks looking at me and the man who smiles picking some silver jewelry from the rack next to us. "How about some shoes?" The man says looking past me and grabbing some heels to match the jewelry. "These your size?" The man questions and I look at the size on the side of the box and nod. "Yes this will be all."

"Your total will be $578.97." The woman says and the man nods slipping a card into the slot and paying. "Thank you." I say and the man smiles and my heart beat quickens the man seems to smiles wider taking the bags from the woman and handing them to me. "Anything for my little girl." The man says and my face reddens and the woman smiles before looking past us at the next people in line. I step away and turn to look for my friends again spotting Stiles looking around for me. "I see my friend...over...there?" Looking around the woman glances at me from the register and furrows her brows. "Your dad left already. If you hurry you can catch up to him."

"Oh no it's okay. He had to leave for work." I quickly respond and head off in the direction of Stiles. "I need to go. I'll see you later alright." I tell him quickly kissing his cheek and heading out the front door entrance. Walking outside the mall, I look around trying to spot the man but he's no where to be seen.

Curling my hair and finishing up my makeup. I put on the jewelry the man got for me. Looking in the mirror. I slip on my dress and put on the heels. Turning to the left and the right looking at my reflection with a smile. Tonight I will not worry about vampire assassins trying to murder me. I will not worry about my blood singer who drives me crazy or the Alpha werewolf who has been haunting my dreams and following me around. Tonight I'm going to have fun and enjoy myself. I need that. I want that. For once to feel normal.
