Chapter 6: Live On

You and Penny are in the library at the Harmony Hunter Academy. Penny is reading a bunch of books, both paper and electronic.

Penny: "So much studying. Then again, we do need to do this if we want to pass that test. Is this how Team RWBY felt?"

"Most likely. It does suck that none of these reading material just gives the answer. But then again, I've never been one for easy solutions."

You heard snoring and saw that Kohaku has fallen asleep reading. Penny tried to wake her up, but you decided to do it instead because Penny tends to use her strength a bit too much.

You shook Kohaku and she woke up.

"Come on sis, if you don't do this, you won't make it to next year."

Kohaku: "I know, I know."

The three of you kept reading and making notes of what you read to prepare for the test. Hours passed, and as the sun began to set. Kohaku closed her book and dropped her head on a table, while Penny is exhausted and you rubbed your eyes after constant reading.

Kohaku: "It's been hours. I want to go home."

"We can do that. If you guys want to get pizza real quick then we could also do that real quick."

Kohaku: "I'm down for pizza."

Penny: "Normally, I don't eat, but the modifications that Velvet made to me made it possible so I can enjoy it, so I say yes."

"Then let's go."

The three of you left the academy and took a mag-lev through the many districts. After your next stop, you went to your favorite Pizza Parlor and order your food. After a few minutes, your pizza arrived and you eat them.

Penny grabbed a slice and took the first bite she's ever had. She is surprised at how good the pizza taste and imagines Team RWBY and Team JNPR.

"Penny?"

Penny: "Sorry. Just imagining sharing this with Team RWBY and Team JNPR. I would love to have spent more time with them."

"I think they'd love that you're still alive and having fun with your new friends," you said, putting her hand on your shoulder.

Penny: "I'd have quite the story for them. I also bet my father might have found a way to walk again."

"Your father?"

Penny: "Yeah. Pietro Polendina. Well, he built me, but I was treated as his own daughter nonetheless. He even gave me part of his aura. In this body, he gave part of his Aura that didn't activate until it received energy from a powerful enough source. Now it's the only part of him that lives on. I don't want any modifications to my Aura because of that."

Kohaku: "He'd be happy that you still live on."

"Yeah."

"Yeah," Penny said, shedding a tear.
