The next day Sonic and Rouge were together.
"That, was one of the hardest missions yet." Rouge said while Sonic stood there with her arms crossed. "What are you thinking about?" she asked and Sonic looked at her.
"I think I love him. After that Paradox Prism accident I felt like my world was crashing." Sonic said shocking Rouge.
"You think you love him?"
"I don't know where it came from, but yes."
"OK then." Rouge said and looked at her. "Tell him."
"Excuse me?" Sonic asked with an eyebrow up.
"Tell him. He understands you're an agent but I've seen the way he looks at you."
"What will Towers say?"
"He'll be fine. Shadow has worked with us plenty of times."
Sonic bit her lip but nodded and teleported them to find Shadow.
When they found him they saw him relaxing and he noticed them.
"Sonic? Rouge? What are you doing here?" Shadow asked.
"Sonic has something to tell you." Rouge said smirking a little.
"OK, what is it?"
"I, I realized something." Sonic said.
"What?" he asked and she took a deep breath.
"When you almost gave your life for the Prisms, I realized I love you." she said and he froze.
Then he got up, looked at her and kissed her.
When they stopped they looked at each other.
"I love you to." Shadow said. "Does this make us couple?"
"I, I guess it does." Sonic said.
"OK. If you ever need help at GUN just give me a call and I'll be there." he said and she nodded.
Then Rouge looked at her watch and then Sonic.
"Sonic." Rouge said and Sonic looked at her. "We gotta head back to HQ and tell commander we're done." she said and Sonic nodded.
Then Shadow gave Sonic another kiss.
"I'll see you later." he said and she nodded then looked at Rouge.
"Let's go." Sonic said and grabbed Rouge's hand. "Chaos Control!" she said and they were gone.
A few seconds later they were at Tower's room.
"Ah, agent Sonic, agent Rouge. You're back." Towers said.
"Mission complete sir." Sonic said.
"Excelent. Well done." he said. "You can go now." he said so they nodded and went to their office to write about the mission.
Later Sonic was with Shadow watching TV and holding each other.
"I told Tails, Knuckles and Amy we were dating." Shadow said and Sonic looked at him.
"What did they say?" she asked.
"They were fine with it. Surprised, but fine."
"Good." she said and he held her closer.
She didn't know what would happen next, but for now was going to relax and enjoy her night.
