Chapter 8-

Malachi rushes to the hospital. He parks, runs in and immediately approaches the nurse.

Nurse - hello can i help you?

Malachi- yes where is Michelle Murphy?

Nurse- give me one second.

Malachi- i need to know right now!!!!

Nurse- sir calm down or you will be removed. She's in room B09.
He runs to the room and sees his family surrounded by her.

Malachi-Momma are you okay? what happened?

First Lady Michelle- i'm fine baby, thank you for getting here.

Malachi- what happened?

Angel- a guy ran-

First Lady Michelle- did i ask you to speak for me?
Angel holds her tongue and doesn't say anything-
First Lady Michelle- anyways, a guy in a big red truck ran a red light and hit me.

Malachi- Mom why were you driving at night anyways?

First Lady Michelle- i was going to your Aunt Sheila's house. Me and your dad got in a bad argument and I left.

Malachi- is that why dad isn't here right now?

First Lady Michelle- I guess so. Boys there's something I have been meaning to talk to you guys.

Marcus- Is it bad?

First Lady Michelle- i don't know.

Malachi- well what is it Mom?

First Lady Michelle- i've been trying to find the right words to say but it's better if I just speak from the heart. I have asked your father for a divorce. I won't say why I asked for one right now but I did. I'm tired of dealing with his drama and feeling like as though, what I want doesn't matter. i'm drained. With that being said, I don't want either of you to ever question me and your father's love for you. That's still your father and i'm still your mother, that won't ever change.

Marcus- so you just giving up on Dad? After everything y'all been through?

First Lady Michelle- It's not that simple Marcus. I'm not giving on your Dad. I feel like he's giving up on me. I still love your father very much but he has taken me for granted one too many times, i can't keep dealing with it.

Marcus- Dad wouldn't give up on you, on us, he loves us.

First Lady Michelle- And you would be right, he wouldn't give up on his family but I've just decided that we would both be happier separated. That's all.

Malachi- Is it because he's cheating on you?
The whole room looks at him.

First Lady Michelle- What made you think that?

Malachi- Mom i've seen the way you guys look and talk to each other. This marriage has been dead.

Marcus- Malachi shut the hell up.

Malachi- or what?
he walks up to Marcus and pushes him-
Marcus pushes him back and they start yelling-

First Lady Michelle- Boys that's ENOUGH!!
They stop and both sit down-
Nurse walks in-

Nurse- Is everything okay here?

First Lady Michelle- yes everything's fine, just a little disagreement.

Nurse- try to keep it down please.
She walks out and shuts the door-

First Lady Michelle- Now Marcus, Malachi is right. Part of the reason why me and your dad are divorcing is because of infidelity.
