(TIME SKIP)(TWO MONTHS)
(Ven's POV)
It's been two months since we started trying to get closer to each other. Amy still hasn't shared with me about her nightmares but I have a good guess as to what they are. Such things will haunt someone for their whole life. As for me, I've shared most of my life's and afterlife's story. Of course there are still some things that I can't bring myself to talk about. I'm surprised I've told her as much as I have. The only other person who knows me this well is Eli, and that's because he had to help me pull myself together to keep Ember up and running.
This morning was the same old thing, wake up, shower, brush, blah blah blah. Eventually I got to making breakfast for Amy. She was sleeping in today because Lute and the other exorcists were working her to the bone, causing her to only get home around one in the morning. I decided to go with bacon and eggs since I wasn't feeling the best.
Ven: (Great, getting sick for the first time in years)
I saw Amy come out of her room just as I finished cooking her breakfast. She has started sleeping on her own again since about three days ago. She keeps saying she has to get over it by herself before the next extermination, it definitely dose not sound healthy to me but it's her choice to make.
Ven: Morning Birdy.
Amy: Morning.
Ven: You feeling alright there?
Amy: Just sore and tired, how about you?
Ven: I'm alright. (Might be sick, might not. I'll know by dinner time)
I give Amy her food and sit beside her as she digs into it.
Amy: Thanks for making breakfast Ven.
Ven: Not a problem. I honestly thought you would sleep in longer considering how late you were out.
Amy: Nah, rather not get used to waking up late. Need to remain disciplined, the extermination is only two months away.
Ven: Still think it's kind of bullshit that they are sending me back a month before the extermination. They basically gave the exorcists plenty of time to memorize everything about me, and then throw me to their mercy.
Amy had a look of worry come across her face after I said that. She has probably been thinking the same thing.
Amy: I'm sure everything will work out.
She sounded more like she was trying to convince herself than me.
Ven: I'm sure it will be, I'd rather be with my men for the extermination anyways. It's just annoying I guess, but there's no point in worrying about it.
With that being said I went to the couch and turned on the TV to some random channel. I looked over and Amy had finished her food and took some meds for the pain. I hoped off the couch before calling Amy over.
Ven: Birdy, come lay down real quick. I'll try to help with the soreness. She blushed slightly like always whenever I cared for her wings, it's kind of cute to be honest.
Amy: O-okay.
She laid down on her stomach and I started to do my thing. After about twenty minutes I was done and she was shivering slightly.
Ven: Feeling better?
Amy: Yes. Thank you, Ven.
Ven: Of course, let me know when ever you need something.
I then head to my room and hop on the new desktop that Emily gave to me to communicate with Eli to run the business smoothly. I was instantly bombarded with dozens upon dozens of notifications from Eli.
