Third day of living with Raine de Verra, and I still have no idea if anything has happened to her family.
Once again, I took out my laptop and wrote:
I still have a lot of questions inside my mind. I haven't managed to update yesterday because I was so busy and I fell asleep.
First, why is she living in an apartment? Is that because her house is far from the university, too?
Second, her sister? A high-ranking government official? How did that happen?
Third, did Elizabeth live with Raine before in the flat? She mentioned it earlier.
Fourth, what am I supposed to do? I already faced the battles I confronted before when my mother left. I saved her life once, and just today, she saved mine. That means I owe the De Verras again. Not to mention, they gave me a scholarship as well.
Fifth, what might happen to Aliza? Raine reflects my life's battles that pursue me no matter what I do to avoid them. My mind keeps telling me that she has the answers I seek on how to stop them from torturing me. However, Aliza is my happy place - a refuge amidst those battles.
A notification caught my attention. There would indeed be no classes tomorrow due to a teachers' meeting.
Earlier, before I could leave the car, Raine's sister told me not to be afraid, as she would increase security for both her and me.
