As the working hours approached, the Jinda Bank located at the intersection of Hamilton Street was shrouded in sunlight, and the brand new glass door reflected the golden sunlight, shining brightly.
There is a constant flow of vehicles at the intersection.
A man in a khaki jacket crossed the street and looked both ways vigilantly before entering the bank.
Less than two minutes.
Another pretty figure appeared at the door.
Chu Yuening was sipping a cup of milk tea, her lychee eyes staring at the logo of Jinda Bank, a strand of hair draped over her small nose.
She came out of Temple Street, stopping all the way, and bought a cup of milk tea when she passed by Fuhua Ice House.
Glanced around.
The cleaning lady was diligently wiping the shiny glass door, and passers-by were happily chatting while carrying large and small bags.
She looked away, took another sip of her milk tea and walked into the bank.
The cleaning lady who was mopping the floor came over with a big mop, glanced at the counter, and found that there were still many people waiting to do business as it was almost time to get off work, so she pushed the mop back to complain.
"It's almost time to get off work but there are still so many people here. They have no sense of righteousness and are just checking in to do business."
After the cleaning lady left, Chu Yuening appeared standing at the back sipping milk tea.
There are three counters, and there are four or five people queuing in front of each counter.
She found a queue and lined up, looking at the queue to the side.
The man in the jacket was standing in the front, holding a black luggage bag in his left hand. Perhaps he had been waiting for a long time, so his brows were tightly furrowed and his eyes were fixed on the female employee at the counter.
When it's his turn.
He put the bag on the counter, took out a check from his pocket and put it on the counter, and said calmly: "Cash the check, and put all the cash in the bag."
The female teller was a short-haired girl wearing a brown sweater uniform and glasses. Even though it was almost the end of the day, she remained calm and gave a signature smile after receiving the check.
"Sir, wait a moment."
After the female teller carefully checked the check, she noticed that the date on the check was obscured by a dark brown mark and became puzzled.
She rubbed her thumb over it, trying to erase the mark.
Work hard for half a day.
The dark brown marks still cannot be wiped off.
The female teller said in embarrassment: "Sir, the date on the check is blurred. According to bank regulations, this check cannot be exchanged for you. Can you ask the person who wrote the check to write a new one? This one can be invalidated."
"Mea ...
Yan Lei's gloomy eyes flashed with a fierce light. He snatched back the check and wiped the marks on it again and again. The date on the check was rubbed with paper scraps. His nostrils kept flaring, and a fierce look gradually rose in his eyes.
