Hung Hom Cross-Harbour Tunnel.
At 6:13 pm, a yellow cordon was erected at the entrance of the tunnel, and police officers maintaining public order stood in front, prohibiting vehicles from passing.
Reporters from major Hong Kong media outlets who had heard the news were standing at the cordon, with two long lines of traffic behind them cooperating with the police investigation. They had no way of turning back and could only block the traffic where it was.
Many car owners had already gotten out of their cars and blocked the entrance. They looked at the body covered with white cloth in the tunnel and talked a lot.
"I heard that a female corpse was found in the undersea tunnel. What's the situation?"
"Isn't this a very arrogant murderer? He actually dared to dump the body in broad daylight."
"Just now, I was in the front row and heard a bang. Then I got off the bus to see what was happening. Oh, it was so scary. I'm sure I'll have nightmares for the next month."
With a bang.
Everyone looked back as the tall and mighty Hummer closed its door and five people got out.
The five people clipped their ID cards on their shirts in unison.
Chu Yuening didn't have time to change her clothes, but luckily her loose long T-shirt covered her thighs. Facing the gazes of the people, she was able to maintain a serious expression.
Zhou Fengxu raised the cordon and skillfully took the mask handed over by the stormtrooper officer and put it on. He was followed by Chu Yuening, Gan Yizu, Luo Qizhong, and Shi Boren was the last to enter the scene and put on gloves.
Song Heng arrived at the scene only one minute earlier than the people in Group D, and his assistant greeted him carrying a toolbox.
"Sir Zhou."
Zhou Fengxu arrived at the scene, and had already changed his working attitude. He nodded steadily and forcefully, "How long will it take to get the information?"
"Ten minutes." Song Heng answered while putting on a mask, his deep eyes showing seriousness.
The tunnel was spacious, with enough width between the two lanes for vehicles to pass through. There was a long red light above, and besides the corpse covered with a white cloth on the ground, there were a lot of ice cubes scattered around, reflecting the faint light.
Lin Sir, the team leader who was in charge of the maintenance, strode over to take over from Zhou Fengxu, "Sir Zhou, thank you for your hard work."
"Mr. Lin." Zhou Fengxu greeted him and asked, "What happened at the scene?"
"It's like this." Lin Sir took off his police hat and recounted how the body was found. "At 5:50 pm, an ice truck entered the Red Tunnel. Probably because the rear door was not closed tightly during loading and unloading, several large bags of ice fell out first, followed by a female corpse. The accident caused four vehicles to rear-end each other."
"Is anyone seriously injured?" Zhou Fengxu stared at the ice truck parked at the side of the tunnel. In the dark and crowded carriage, half of the truck was still filled with high ice packs.
Mr. Lin replied: "No, the people who were rear-ended were sent to the hospital, and we have not received any notification of serious injuries."
"Where's the driver?" Zhou Fengxu looked away.
