Nischay stepped off the train, the warm air of the South Indian city Coimbatore enveloping him.

The vibrant colors, the aroma of street food and the hum of conversations in an unfamiliar language filled his senses.

He was both excited and nervous about the three weeks ahead, eager to explore but apprehensive about the language barrier.

On his third day, Nischay found himself wandering through a bustling market. Stalls overflowed with fresh produce, spices and colorful textiles.

As he meandered, he caught sight of a small flower shop nestled between two larger stalls.

Drawn by the scent of jasmine and roses, he approached there where he saw something or perhaps someone from whom he could take his eyes away.

That is when he saw her-Y/n. She stood at the counter, her attention focused on selecting a bouquet of marigolds.

Her presence was captivating and for a moment, time seemed to stop for Nischay.

Gathering his courage, he approached her. "Excuse me, do you speak English?" He asked, his voice with a blend of hope and uncertainty.

Y/n looked up, surprised but pleasantly so. "Yes I do. Can I help you?"

Nischay smiled, relieved. "I am Nischay, visiting here for a few weeks. I am struggling with the language and could really use some help. Would you mind showing me around?"

Y/n's smile widened. "I am Y/n and I would be happy to help. Let us start with these flowers. Do you know what marigolds signify?"

Nischay shook his head. "No, I do not."

"They symbolize new beginnings and good fortune. A perfect start to your journey here along with me now," she said, handing him a marigold.

Over the next few weeks, Nischay and Y/n became inseparable. She introduced him to the local cuisine, taught him simple phrases in the native language and showed him hidden gems of the city that only a local would know.

They laughed together, shared stories of each other's lives and grew closer with each passing day.

One afternoon, they visited an ancient temple perched on a hilltop. As they climbed the stone steps, Nischay marveled at the intricate carvings and the serene atmosphere.

"It is beautiful," Nischay said, his voice filled with awe.

"It is," Y/n agreed. "This temple has stood here for centuries, a testament to the resilience and faith of the people."

They reached the top and stood before the temple's entrance. The view of the city below was breathtaking.

"Thank you for bringing me here," Nischay said. "I have learned so much from you, not just about the language but about the culture and history of this lovely place."

Y/n smiled softly. "I am glad I could share it with you. It has been wonderful for me having you here."

Despite their growing bond, both Nischay and Y/n hesitated to express their deeper feelings.

Insecurity and second thoughts kept them from confessing what was in their hearts.

The day of Nischay's departure arrived too soon. At the train station, they stood facing each other, the weight of unspoken words hanging in the air.

"I am really going to miss this place....and you," Nischay said, his voice tinged with sadness.

"I will miss you too Nischay," Y/n replied, her eyes glistening with unshed tears.

They hugged tightly, neither wanting to let go. As they held each other, Y/n whispered, "I love you Nischay."

Nischay's heart swelled with emotion. He pulled back slightly, looking into her eyes. "I love you Y/n."

They stood there, wrapped in each other's embrace, the world around them fading away.

The train whistle blew, but for that moment, all that mattered was the love they had finally confessed.

"I will come back Y/n," Nischay promised. "And next time, we will have more than just three weeks, my love."

Y/n smiled through her tears. "I believe you Nischay. I will be waiting for you."

As Nischay boarded the train, he looked back at Y/n who was smiling back at him.

Both of them did not look anywhere else except at one another knowing that this was not the end of their story but the beginning of something beautiful yet to come and turn to reality soon.

The end☺🌼
