HAPPY READING📖
"Nikkah?" I repeated, searching his eyes for any hint of mischief."Have you lost your mind? Akeli larki dekhi nhi aur niyat kharab hogayi?" I snapped, my nostrils flaring in anger.
"Agar meri niyat kharab hoti na" he said, pinning me against the wall and gripping my hair, "I could have done so much to you last night when you were all alone in that room," he whispered in my ear.
I stared at him, my heart pounding. His grip firm and eyes dark, unreadable.
"Let go of me" I demanded, my voice shaky.
He stepped back, "you need protection and I need a wife for my position, the nikkah is beneficial for both of us, don't expect anything more than just a deal"
"I can be protected in so many ways why marrying you?"
Ghazi's expression remained impassive. "This is the most straightforward solution for both of us. My position demands it, and you need security"
"What if I say no?" I said eyeing him
"Refusal isn't an option," he said coldly. "You're here now, and this is how it will be. Try to understand your position"
"You think threatening me is going to make me agree?" I snapped,
"I'm not threatening you. I'm making it clear that YOU.DON'T.WANT to test my patience." His jaw clenched,
I swallowed hard, trying to meet his eyes with as much defiance as I could muster. "Then why the marriage? If you have no intention of treating me well, why go through with it?"
His expression unreadable. "This marriage is a necessity, not a romance. We both have something to gain from it. I'm giving you a way out, and in return, I'm fulfilling my family's expectations. I will treat you with respect I promise"
"Fine, just so you know I am not an easy person to handle" I said hoping he would call it off.
He smirked slightly, though his eyes remained serious. "I wouldn't expect anything less."
With that, he turned and walked away, leaving me alone with my swirling thoughts and a deepening sense of unease.
The next morning, we set off for his hometown. The journey was long and silent. Ghazi barely spoke, his eyes focused on the road. I glanced at him occasionally, trying to read his thoughts, but his face remained stoic.
"Drive slow" I said noticing he was speeding at 150,
"Roq ke dhakka laga deta hoon" he said still eyeing the road
