content warning:

please read this section only if you're at least 15+ years of age as it deals with a lot of themes — and not all of them are to be taken lightly.

a "content" instead of "trigger" warning feels more accurate for the work since, as i mention, it isn't explicit.

i can't stop you from reading if you're truly interested but if it makes you uncomfortable, set the book down, take some deep breaths and continue only if you wish to. your mental health matters too, kiddo :)

dedications:

this book is a dedication to @SeraDrake whose work, "Ancilla" has taught me so much, i am carrying it everywhere i go, including this work.

if you haven't read Ancilla, please go and do it, you'll thank me later!

there'll always be a lot to learn but one that i can brag about, albeit humbly, would be the inspiration i had from Magister's character — a wrecking ball to all those toxic tropes and character archetypes that are so common in books and media in general — to create characters who respect each other as humans first and consent (and enthusiastic consent) being at forefront than as an afterthought.

all those conversations about romance, consent and tropes on wattpad and emails will forever teach me to write stories that are loved but also inspire others to do the same. thank you, truly.

i also cannot go without dedicating this work to @RubixCube89201 , whose series, "The Good Girl's Bad Boys [TGGBB]" and "Broken Glasses" work (famous among many readers on and off wattpad, this is another true gem that has struck a chord with me) show that characters/people can be friends without actually needing to become lovers or even be in a romantic or relationship. friendships can be fulfilling enough.🌸

along with TGGBB and BG works, there's other works too, i am yet to check them out, but all her works are immaculate! she also raises awareness about a lot of important social topics, which has also inspired me to add my own flair of social commentary in this work.

there's so many others i would want to dedicate this book to, but i will either do it in chapter headers or at the end.

MISSION is a love child of all the works that inspired me and taught me and this is my way of paying forward.
