OMORI After The Story

EPISODE 8

"A few times, I've thought this was all a dream, but every time, I'm just as excited to find out that this is very much real." Basil said while sitting next to Sunny, resting his head on his shoulder. "It all feels so much like a fairy tale.. And for the first time in years, it feels like happily ever after might be possible for us.." Sunny was only looking at Basil's blonde hair, turned gold in the morning light. "I've been so lost in my head that I don't even know what's real anymore.." Sunny said. Sunny wished he could stay like this forever, sitting next to Basil, watching the drops of rain fall from a white sky and hit the bedroom window.

A few moments later they were out in the rain, Kel and Aubrey came over for a bit and they ran around in the rain like children again, it was nice, but even through all the people dancing in the rain, it felt like him and Basil were in slow motion, looking at each other through the chaos, the rain seemed to slow when they stood there. They went out early to do this since Basil didn't need to water his plants today. Sunny went around the back of his new house for a few moments, he loved the daisies that grew around the back of Basil's house. He picked a few and crafted them into a flower crown, like the ones Mari taught him how to make, and then he made another. "Sunny?" Basil called, coming around the side of the house. "Are you alright?" Sunny stood up and smiled, he walked over to Basil and placed a flower crown on his head. Basil wrapped his arms around Sunny's neck and Sunny kissed him. The rain fell slowly when they were together, but now it felt as though time was turning back, the sky seemed to take back all of the rain as it flew back upward with grace.

They went back to their friends.
