OMORI After The Story

EPISODE 9

"Good morning guys!" Polly said as they got into the living room. She was just watching TV on the couch in her pajamas. "Seems like a good day to just relax doesn't it?" She smiled at them and beckoned them over to the couch, they sat down and watched TV with her for a long while, most of the day actually. Sunny thought it was nice to just lay on the couch with Polly and Basil. 

It's important to take breaks sometimes.

"Oh shit!" Polly said suddenly. "We don't have any food for the week. Welp, guess I gotta go to the store, you two be good, I'll be back soon." And then she got up and left, leaving Sunny and Basil all alone. They were lying against opposite ends of the couch, their feet touching. The room was dark but Sunny could see Basil's eyes and pale skin in the blue glow of the TV. Sunny smiled and he smiled back, he opened his arms in a hugging kind of gesture and Basil moved over to him and laid down with his back to Sunny. Basil's hair smelled like cinnamon, Sunny took off his beanie and rested his head on top of Basil's. "I don't ever want to let go." He said softly. "You don't have to." Sunny responded. "But Polly-" He said before being interrupted by Sunny. "Don't worry about Polly, we'll tell her together."

They fell asleep in each other's arms.

Polly unlocked the door and came in. "Aww, it's about time you two." She whispered with a gentle smile. She brought a blanket and covered them up with it, and turned off the TV, before going to bed as well, smiling and wishing that her and Hero would have the same luck someday.
