OMORI After The Story

EPISODE 11

"Good morning Sunny!" Basil yelled joyfully while opening Sunny's curtain. "Sorry to wake you so suddenly but I thought I'd let you sleep in. Guess what Sunny? Hero, Kel, and Aubrey are here!" Sunny was immediately energized when Basil said this. He stood up and Basil's face turned red. "O-oh uhm.. I'm gonna go wait for you outside.." He said before running out the door. Sunny looked down at himself and realized he was only wearing a pair of boxers and immediately started laughing as he got dressed. He grabbed his bag and a beanie and then walked outside to meet Basil who was still a bit flustered and staring at Sunny's chest. Polly and Aubrey were already in Polly's car and ready to go and there was plenty of space in Hero's truck for them. "Come on guys!!" Kel yelled from the passenger seat. Sunny helped Basil get into the truck and then got in on the other side.

About an hour into the trip, Kel fell asleep and Basil followed about 30 minutes later. "Hah! I guess we're the only ones awake huh Sunny?" Hero said, looking in the rearview. "Well I hope you enjoy this trip, I know it might be kind of rough on us all since the last time we went here, Mari was.." He trailed off. "Anyway, I'm sure she'd be happy to see us doing this again, that's why me and Kel planned the trip!" A few minutes later, Sunny fell asleep too, holding Basil's hand and resting his head on Basil's. "I wondered when you two would finally get together." Hero laughed quietly. "I'm happy for you, I'm sure we all are."

"Morning guys! We've stopped for food at Beckie's!" Hero said as he parked. It was always a tradition when passing through to eat at Beckie's, it was a really old historic cafe that was a good halfway point to stop and eat lunch before getting down to Crater Lake. They went in and got a table for four and a table for two as well since they didn't have any tables for six. Hero and Polly went off to find the table and the rest sat down at the booth by the window. "I'm so excited for this trip!" Basil said as they all sat down. Kel knocked him over as he got in next to him. "Yeah me too!" He said obnoxiously as Aubrey scoffed and asked Basil if he was okay. "Oh no I'm so sorry Basil!" Kel said before apologizing a couple dozen more times. Sunny got an odd feeling in the pit of his stomach that something was wrong. "I have to go to the bathroom." He said as he got up and walked away, Basil had a concerned look on his face. Sunny tried to give a reassuring smile but it only concerned him more.

When he got to the bathroom he could hear someone crying, the stall it was coming from was open. It was Hero. "Hero?" Sunny asked worriedly. "Oh- shit." He said, sniffling. "What's wrong?" Sunny asked, "I don't want you to worry about me, Sunny." He replied. Sunny furrowed his brow and crossed his arms. "Okay, okay, I really like Polly but I feel so selfish and unfaithful for it." He said, now sobbing uncontrollably. Sunny knelt down and rubbed his shoulder. "You deserve to be in another relationship, you aren't being unfaithful to Mari, she would want you to be happy just as much as any of us." Sunny said, doing his best to reassure Hero. "Thanks Sunny," he said, sniffling and wiping his face. "You're right I think.." He stood up. "I'm gonna go back to Polly before she starts to worry.." He said. "Good luck Hero." Sunny replied as he walked out.

A few moments later, Basil frantically ran in. "Sunny?" He said. "Are you alright? It's been 10 minutes, I was so worried." Sunny looked up and smiled. "I'm fine, I was just helping Hero, he was upset." Basil looked less worried now. "Is he alright now?" He asked worriedly still. "He's fine, but now I need to help you calm down don't I?" Sunny asked playfully. "And how would you suggest-?" Basil was cut off by Sunny as he pushed him up against a wall. He stared down at Basil, feeling his pulse racing. "Is this okay?" He asked with a smirk. Basil nodded quickly while his face turned more and more red by the second. Sunny laughed and started kissing his neck, and then moving up to his lips. He felt Basil's hand on his chest. Sunny moved one hand to the side of Basil's face and the other to his hip, and then after a few seconds, even lower, picking up Basil's leg and pinning him against the wall.

"Where were you guys?!" Aubrey yelled when they walked back to the table. Sunny grabbed Basil's hand and intertwined their fingers. "O-oh I see.." Aubrey said with a smirk. "Huh?" Kel said stupidly. "Don't worry about it Kel," she said, facepalming. Sunny turned for a moment to see how the other two were doing, he saw Hero and Polly laughing and flirting on the other side of the room.

'Success' he thought, 'success indeed...'
