Chapter 50: (Aaira's pov)

Three years had passed since the traumatic incident that had changed everything in our lives. Time, though often harsh, had also been a healer. Looking back, it was a reminder of how much everything had shifted.

Jungkook, who had once been overwhelmed with anger and pain, had begun to transform into a more understanding and compassionate person. The anger that had once clouded his judgment was now replaced by patience.

In the middle of all this change, Soobin and Y/n had returned to our lives, there were so many grudges that need to be sorted, it took us all time but we did. Their return was a breath of fresh air, though at first people were really not happy. Not even them.

It had been a bit of a surprise when they decided to come back, but it was a welcome one, at least from my side. They had resumed their lives here and, unexpectedly, found each other again. Their friendship had blossomed into a loving partnership, and it was heartwarming to see them so happy together.

Aimin, My every shining was now a bright and lively six-year-old, had grown into a curious and affectionate little boy. Despite his young age, he had a strong sense of his own feelings and emotions, he talks just like his father. It was clear that he was still very much a mama's boy.

Elin, our precious two-year-old daughter, was the spitting image of Jungkook, aswell. She had inherited his deep brown eyes and the same mischievous smile. Though when she was born, my In-laws were not so satisfied, but Jungkook handled everything.

Aimin's attachment to me was unexpressive, but it also came with its own set of challenges. Aimin is more of a mumma's boy. And the arrival of his little sister, Elin. Aimin was undoubtedly jealous of her. He struggled with the attention she received, which, in his eyes, seemed to overshadow the love he was used to getting.

Elin was lively, always exploring and learning new things, and it was clear that she had a strong connection with her father. Jungkook had become more attentive and involved in her life, and it was heartwarming to see him embrace fatherhood with such dedication.

The dynamic between Aimin and Elin was complicated. Aimin's jealousy was not just about sharing attention; it was also about the fear of being replaced. He had been the center of our world for so long that having a new sibling was a significant shift.

I made sure to spend quality time with him, reassuring him. It was a delicate balance, trying to make him feel valued while also managing the needs of a growing family. Our marriage, too, had undergone a significant transformation. The years following the incident had been a journey of rediscovery and healing.

Jungkook had made a concerted effort to listen to me more, to understand my perspective, and to be present in our relationship. He was more willing to discuss issues openly, to listen to my concerns, and to make compromises.

Soobin's family had trouble accepting Y/n. She looked so much like me that it confused and upset them. They struggled to separate their feelings for me from their view of Y/n. Despite their initial resistance, Jungkook was clear and supportive of Y/n, which helped ease their discomfort. Gradually, Soobin's family began to accept her.

Y/n and I became close during this time. Our shared past helped us bond, and I was genuinely happy to see her find her place away from the old couple, even though she looked so much like me, which had once led me to hate her and my own self.

But eventually, Soobin's family accepted Y/n. To mark this new beginning in their both lives, Y/n dyed her hair a striking dark crimson. It was a bold choice, but it suited her well and symbolized her new start. She said she didn't want to be an image of me anymore, she wanted to change.
