Arjun began to breathe heavily, his face contorted in pain. Abhishek immediately noticed the change, his heart racing with fear. "Are you okay? Let me call an ambulance," he said, fumbling for his phone.

Before he could dial, Arjun placed a trembling hand over his phone, his grip weak but insistent. "Abhishek," he gasped, struggling to speak through the pain, "promise me something."

"I'll do anything," Abhishek replied, his voice rising in panic. "Just let me call an ambulance, or if you don't want that, we can drive to the hospital ourselves."

Arjun shook his head slightly, his eyes filled with a mix of desperation and determination. "Manisha... she has no one else in this world. Except for me. You're the only friend I trust. Please, don't let her be alone. Be with her forever... marry her." As he spoke those final words, his voice faltered, and he lost his grip on Abhishek, his body slumping.

"Arjun!" Abhishek shouted, his voice cracking with fear. At that moment, Manisha burst into the room, her eyes wide with horror as she saw her brother unconscious. Without hesitation, she called the driver, and together, they rushed Arjun to the hospital in a frantic drive.

At the hospital, the doctors took one look at Arjun and declared they needed to operate immediately. The urgency in their voices made Manisha's heart sink as she sat in the waiting area, her mind filled with fear and uncertainty. Abhishek stepped out of the doctor's room after signing the necessary papers and walked over to her, his face pale with worry.

Manisha looked up at him, her eyes filled with tears. "What happened to him? What did you do to my brother?" she demanded, her voice shaking with accusation. The trust she once held in the world now shattered under the weight of fear and suspicion. "Tell me!" she cried, her emotions pouring out uncontrollably.

"Don't shout," Abhishek said softly, trying to keep his own emotions in check. "I didn't do anything to him. He has a brain tumor, and now the doctors are taking him to the operating theater."

Manisha's eyes widened in shock, the reality of the situation hitting her like a wave. Tears streamed down her face as she struggled to comprehend the gravity of what was happening.

"Let's sit outside the operating theater," Abhishek suggested gently, guiding her towards the hallway. She followed him quietly, too overwhelmed to speak, as they both prepared for the long and uncertain wait ahead.

Manisha sat quietly in the corner, her gaze fixed on the floor, while Abhishek paced nervously around the waiting area. He glanced over at her, recalling Arjun's words. "But what about Neha? How can I betray her like this? Once Arjun is better, I'll talk to him properly," he muttered to himself.

Abhishek approached Manisha with a concerned look. "Do you want something to eat?" he asked softly. Manisha shook her head slightly, her eyes still downcast.

"Manisha," Abhishek said gently, "you need to be strong for your brother. He needs you now more than ever. Everyone else is secondary in his life right now. If you don't eat, you'll end up getting sick, too. And who will take care of—"

His phone rang, interrupting him. It was Neha. Abhishek excused himself and took the call. Neha was unhappy about him missing her birthday party but accepted that there was nothing she could do. Although she pretended to care about Arjun for Abhishek's sake, her concern was superficial. After a brief exchange filled with feigned empathy, she ended the call.

Back in the waiting area, Manisha remained silent, her mind clouded with negative thoughts. When the doctor finally emerged, he delivered the grim news. "We've completed the operation, but we need to keep him under observation for the next 24 hours. It's a critical period."
