Manisha entered her room and closed the door behind her. She stood there, her back against the door, as tears she had been holding back finally spilled over. Her body shook with sobs. She had tried so hard to stay strong, but now, alone in her room, the weight of everything overwhelmed her.
Meanwhile, Abhishek was searching for Manisha, worried about her sudden disappearance. Neha, who had been in the garden, saw Dimple and asked about Abhishek. Dimple mentioned she saw him heading inside. Neha quickly followed, heading towards the house.
Abhishek reached Manisha's room and stood outside, hesitating for a moment before he tried to call her name. Just then, the lights in the house went out, plunging everything into darkness. A moment later, he heard Manisha's terrified scream from inside her room. Without thinking, he pushed the door open and rushed inside.
In the dim light, he saw Manisha standing in the middle of the room, her hands trembling, her breath coming in short, panicked gasps. She looked like she was suffocating under the weight of her emotions. When she saw Abhishek, she rushed towards him and hugged him tightly, clinging to him as if he were her only lifeline. Abhishek was shocked to see her like this, so vulnerable and broken. He wrapped his arms around her, holding her close, trying to comfort her as best as he could.
Just then, Neha entered the house, using her phone's flashlight to navigate in the darkness. She checked Abhishek's room first and, not finding him there, moved towards Manisha's room. As she reached the door, the lights suddenly flickered back on. She pushed the door open and froze at the sight in front of her—Abhishek and Manisha hugging each other.
"Wow," Neha said, her voice dripping with sarcasm. Abhishek quickly looked up and saw Neha standing in the doorway. He could see the misunderstanding and fury in her eyes. Not wanting to create a scene on his sister's special day, he hurriedly pulled Neha into the room and shut the door behind her.
"Neha, it's not what it looks like," Abhishek started to explain, his voice calm but firm. Manisha, still shaken, looked between them, realizing how bad the situation must seem to Neha. She opened her mouth to speak, to explain, but Neha cut her off.
"I knew it," Neha snapped, her voice rising. "I knew something was going on ever since I saw her. She's the reason you've been distant from me! All this drama for attention, right? Just like her brother, she doesn't want us to be together. What, does she want, to marry you?". "Enough!" Abhishek shouted, his voice echoing in the small room. The sharpness of his tone made both Manisha and Neha freeze.
Neha, stunned by his outburst, glared at him. "You're shouting at me because of this cheap girl?" she spat, the venom in her words palpable. Before she could say anything else, Abhishek's hand lashed out, slapping her across the face. The room fell silent, the shock of his actions hanging heavy in the air. Manisha and Neha both stared at him, their eyes wide with disbelief.
Abhishek's voice was cold and controlled as he spoke, "First of all, she didn't hug me. I hugged her to comfort her because she's going through something you can't even begin to understand. Secondly, the only cheap person in this room is you, Neha. You cheated on me, and now you dare to question my loyalty?"
Neha's face turned pale, her bravado crumbling under the weight of his words. "Abhishek, you're misunderstanding the situation," she stammered, desperately trying to salvage whatever was left of her dignity. But Abhishek wasn't listening anymore.
"Arjun tried to warn me about you so many times," Abhishek said, his voice filled with a mix of regret and anger. "He told me that you weren't loyal, but I refused to believe him. He even mentioned a few incidents, days when he saw you with someone else. But every time, you had an excuse, and I chose to believe you. I didn't want to doubt you, even though I could see the worry in Arjun's eyes."
