(Coccinelle AU) Landon the Liar

Scene: The school courtyard.

Amelie is standing by her locker, organizing her books. Landon approaches with a confident smirk.

"Hey there, Amelie. Did you hear about my latest adventure?" Landon asked, leaning on the locker, thinking he was smooth.

"Oh? What was it this time, Landon?" Amelie replied, skeptically. 

"I just got back from scaling Mount Everest! Single-handedly, I might add. The prince of Nepal was so impressed, he offered me a position as his personal mountain guide." Landon said.

Amelie rose an eyebrow, "Really? That's interesting, considering Mount Everest is in between Nepal and China, and Nepal doesn't have a prince. It's a federal republic." she corrected.

Landon faltered slightly, "Oh, well, I meant... the president's son! Yes, that's it." he said.

Amelie sighed, "Landon, why do you always—" she started.

Suddenly, Luka walks into the courtyard.

Amelie's eyes widening, voice suddenly dreamy, "L-Luka!"

"What? Hey, I'm not finished—" Landon said, confused.

Amelie completely ignoring Landon, walking towards Luka, "Hi Luka! I heard saw your video online... is it song you played new? It sounds so... so... melodious!" she gushed.

"Hey Amelie. Yeah, I've been working on it. Want to hear more?" Luka asked, smiling.

Amelie nodded enthusiastically, "Yes! I mean..." she exclaimed, before calming down, trying to act cool. "Sure, that'd be nice."

As Amelie and Luka move to a nearby bench, Landon is left standing by the lockers, his mouth agape.

"Did she just... walk away from me? For that... that... guitar boy?!" Landon asked himself, upset.

He watches as Amelie listens to Luka play, her eyes sparkling with admiration. Landon's face contorts into a scowl.

"This isn't over. I'll show her I'm way more interesting than some wannabe rock star!" Landon growled under his breath.

Just then, a small dog being walked by a student passes by. Hearing Landon's growl, it barks at him, thinking it's found a fellow canine.

"No, boy! That's not a dog, that's just Landon." the student said to their dog.

"Hey!" Landon exclaimed, offended.

The dog continues to bark at Landon, who backs away, tripping over his own feet and landing in a nearby trash can.

Meanwhile, Amelie and Luka remain oblivious to the commotion, lost in their own little world of music and shy glances.

Landon peeked out of the trash can, covered in banana peels, "This is so unfair..." he whined.

The dog trots over and lifts its leg near the trash can.

"No, no, no! Bad dog! Someone help!" he pleaded, panicking.

As chaos ensues around the trash can, Amelie's laughter at something Luka said rings out across the courtyard, adding insult to Landon's very messy injury.

Here's the next chapter! This is male Lila. Unlike in canon, where Adrien took a while not to be taken with Lila's lies (I don't hate him for this, I actually don't like Adrien salt very much.) Amelie doesn't play around with Landon. 1. Because she's a very smart girl whose at the top of her class (so she knows things Landon obviously doesn't) and 2. Her feelings for Luka trump all Landon's pathetic attempts.
