Draco Malfoy:
I guess she didn't realize that someone was following her. She was probably too busy in her own mind.
Her fists were at her side. Her shoulders were tight. Her hair became red and long. Her entire body was tense.
Normally, I would immediately report the person roaming the halls at night, but curiousity got the better of me. So, instead of doing what a prefect should do, I followed quietly behind her.
The smell of her vinilla perfume filled the air behind her, leaving a trail. The smell was intoxiacting. But her tense form put me onto the edge.
I followed the bright light up the moving stairs and through the third floor hallway. We reached a part of the castle I had never been before, never even thought to explore. I've always known it was here, though. When I was starting school, my parents made sure I had a tour of the school, so I wouldn't be late.
I stood outside the door and watched her. It sounded stalkerish, but I didn't care. There was paint on the counters that I could see, and canvas everywhere.
I didn't know that she enjoyed art.
I continued to watch her meticulously work on her painting. Her red hair cascaded down her back and started to turn brown as she calmed down.
I was memorized by her technique. Though, I found it strange that she didn't start off with a sketch. But again, I am not an artist.
-
It's been about a few hours, and she still hadn't stopped painting. My eyelids grew tired, and my feet started to hurt. How is she still painting?
I couldn't really see the painting with her in the way. But ever so often, she would step back from the painting, giving me a glimpse of what it would look like.
All I could see was red. Everything had a red glow, the ground, the sky, the little figures that I could barely make out.
She stepped away from the painting again. Danica simply nodded and walked towards one of the counters that surrounded the room.
I recognized my face on the painting immedently, except I had red demonic features. My blood started to boil. My hands turned into fists. I knew it was a bad idea to knock a bit I couldn't help myself. I erased the anger off of my face and put on an evil smirk.
Her face looked terrified as I walked into the room. Her body tensed up again and her hair turned a firey red.
"I knew you were obsessed with me, but didn't know you could paint me from memory," I taunted.
Her face turned red as she looked at her artwork, "In your dreams, Malfoy."
She looked back at me with her golden eyes. Did she always have green flakes in them?
I clicked my tongue, "Maybe this is a dream," I roughly grabbed her chin, "Because you're the one painting me," I turned her head to look at the painting.
"You're delusional," she stepped out of my reach.
My fingers longed to touch her warm, soft skin again.
"Maybe, but at least I'm not roaming the halls at night just to paint someone as a devil."
"Prince of hell," she corrected me.
She rolled her eyes and snuck into the darkness of the hallways before I could give her a piece of my mind.
I wanted to follow her, but her painting hypotized me. Every detail was well thought of. Every single stroke of paint was intentional. I was in love with this painting, even if I was offended.
I couldn't help but stand there, sinking in the calmness of the painting. Even through the chaos, there were still moments. Even through the anger that she felt, she meant no harm in what she painted. You could tell because nothing was happening to me. I was just in the middle of the chaos.
-
I stood there for hours, trying to memorize every detail. I didn't even realize it was morning till who I assumed was the art teacher dismissed me without even a warning. She probably thought me as one of her students.
I walked through the sun drench hallway, feeling the golden beams on my skin made me feel alive. The feelings that painting gave me made me feel alive. Her painting made me feel alive again.
-
I hurried to my room, got changed, and headed to my first class.
