Draco Malfoy:

Danica has consumed my mind. Ever since I caught her in the art room, she has been my every thought, every concern. It's like she's a drug that I can't stop thinking about. She was like air.

I looked around the dining hall to try to find her beautiful sky eyes, but I couldn't. I wish I didn't miss her death glare whenever I made a snarky comment, but I did.

Pansy was talking to Daphne, but where was Danica?

"Where is she," I whispered to Pansy.

"When did you start to care," she doesn't even look at me, "Anyway-"

"Tell. Me. Where. She. Is."

"In her dorm, you psycho," she hissed and continues on with her conversation with Greengrass.

I rushed out of the dining hall, knowing that I have many eyes on me for the abrupt exit. I walked pace the now-murmuring paintings, asking me where I was going. Ignoring them, I hurried my pace into a run. Finally, I arrived at her dorm. She and I both had our separate rooms because we were prefects. I knocked on the door.

"Go away, Pansy," I heard sniffling, I knocked again, except more urgently this time. Was she hurt? "Pansy," she opened the door and then went silent.

Her eyes were bloodshot from crying and had tissues in her hand.

"Why are you crying," my heart suddenly hurt. Who caused this?

"Go away -" she tried to slam the door in my face, but I stopped it and hurried inside, "What- You can't be in my room, Draco."

"That doesn't matter right now," I said. I examined her room, very neat and orderly, just like I expected from her. Her room was almost exactly like mine besides a few changes in location and decorations. She had photos of her on family vacation on her dark-wooden dresser. My attention goes back to her and I sit on her neatly made bed, "Why are you crying?"

She rolled her eyes as she wiped her nose with the tissue, "None of your business."

"I'm not leaving until you tell me what is going on," I mimicked her crossed arms and her narrow eyes and then started to soften at the sight of her distress.

She sighed, "I am failing most of my classes."

"That's it," was all I could say without laughing, "You're crying because of your grades?"

"Yes! It's not stupid. It's important to me," she raised her arms in defeat in response to my laughing.

"Fine, fine," I paused and examined her body language. This was really the reason. . . but she was so smart, so talented, always top of our class, always competing against me, making me stay on top of my game. I always won, but I won't let her know that I struggled to stay on top. "Do you need a tutor," the idea came out of my mouth before I really thought about it, "I would be happy to help if need be."

"What do you get out of it? Was this a dare? Pansy put you up to this, huh, giving you sex to help me," she rolled her eyes, "I do not need your help. If anything you need my help with your manners," her voice had her bite back.

"What does it matter to you? My manners or who I have sex with, you need my help. Take it," I was standing now and was hovering over her, my breath touching her nose. Our eyes inches apart. She doesn't back away, a smirk went onto my face, "Good, we will meet every night in the library after diner, okay?"

She rolled her eyes, "Leave."

My smirk continues, "Not until you promise to come," I held out my pinky, "Pinky promise."

She half-heartedly laughed. Not the normal giggle I was used to hearing, but a deep chuckle, "You're a child."

"And you need this child's help. Take it or leave it," she knows she has to, so she wraps her pinky around mine.

A chill rolls down her back but pretends it doesn't happen when she said, "Fine."

"Scared," my eyes meet her ocean full eyes.

"Now why would I be scared of you," she dared to lean in, making our lips almost touch, "Leave."

I walk away from those ocean blue eyes and leave her alone with her thoughts.

-

That night I stayed up late, preparing everything we needed. I first wanted to start off with some practice tests, to see where she was at. Then I will go from there.

I fell asleep in a pile of papers and books. The most sound sleep I had in while, I hate to admit.
