Rody finally made it back to work after who knows how many days and only just realised his shoelace was missing. The other shoe had their shoelace but his left shoe's shoelace went suddenly missing. Rody seemed confused by this and since he had spent his days off with Vincent, walked into the kitchen and knocked on the door to his office.

"Vince...?"

A low and quiet voice came from the other side as well as the closing of a drawer.

"Come in."

"Vince must be doing work..."

Rody thought as he opened the door and walked in. The office was dark and even more poorly decorated as the rest of Vincent's apartment and bistro. Rody spotted these very clearly. He looked to Vincent who seemed a bit pink, possibly sick.

"Yes Rody?"

"Shit- Uh, I was wondering, Vince,"

Rody said, rubbing the back of his neck and looking at Vincent sitting down in his office chair. It was certainly a nice chair.

"Have you seen my shoelace..? It went missing and I only realised now."

Vincent's expression changed ever so slightly from pink to a paler pink.

"No Rody... No I haven't seen your shoelace."

"Oh. Well, I'll see you later then."

Rody then sighed and walked out Vincent's office. Vincent finally exhaled and looked at Rody's shoelace in his hand and smiled the slightest bit.

"He's so adorably oblivious..."

Vincent thought, inspecting the shoelace further. The only reason Vincent went for Rody's shoelace is because one, Rody's hands were on it often from tying his shoelace multiple times a day, and Vincent knew this, two, it was less obvious that it was missing and this proved right because Rody only noticed when he came into work and three, Rody's scent from his one pair of socks to the sweat from his hands and fingertips was engulfed into said shoelace.

Vincent may be a bit crazy, yes, but stalking Rody since the end of the first week he spent here, sneaking into his apartment to watch him sleep and steal small things of his was just right out insanity. Yes, Vincent was insane before but Rody working for him made it all worse.

Rody was completely unaware of this. Well, he was aware of some.

He knew Vincent watched him and his every move while he worked but that was basically it. Rody had no idea how mentally deranged Vincent was to go as far as to collect bits of his hair while he was sleeping.
