"Dad? What are you doing here?" I asked.

"Elise convinced me to come talk to you," he says, "Can we?"

I don't know," I say, "I don't think that'll be a good idea."

"Please, Zelda."

"You should probably leave. I don't need you yelling at me again."

"Look Zelda, I am truly sorry," He says, "A father shouldn't treat their daughter like that."

"Yeah, my father would know that." I snap, before realizing what I had just said. My eyes widen, as Alexander gives me a weird look.

"What does that mean?" He asks.

"Zelda," Jeremiah whispers, "You sure about this."

"What's going on?" Alexander asks again.

"Guys can I have the room with my dad please?"

"Let's go." Elise says, as everyone leaves, leaving Alexander and I. I take another deep breath, as the doors close.

"Honey, what's wrong?"

"There is something you need to know." I say, my eyes watering.

"Honey, are you okay?" He asks, trying to step close to me, but I hold my hands out.

"Four months ago, I learned something about mom." I say, staring at him, as I feel tears slip from my eyes.

"What?"

"She lied. To you. To me. To Logan. To everyone."

"What does that mean?"

"You know how Elise brought mom's wedding dress?" He nods, "There was a letter, where she told me the truth about herself."

"The truth? Zelda, what's wrong?"

"What species was mom?" I ask, looking him in the eyes.

"Human. She was human."

"She lied to you," I whisper, "Mom wasn't human. I mean she was, but wasn't."

"What are you saying Zelda?"

"Mom was a vampire dad. When she died, she went with her actual mate."

"Mate? She said he died."

"Her mate was my father," I cry out, "Who was a vampire"

"What?"

"My father's name is Alistair," I say, "You aren't my real father. I'm so so sorry." I cry harder.

"Hey, it's okay." Alexander says, wiping the tears from my cheeks, and hugging me tight, "Even though I'm not your biological father, I still love you like my own."

"I'm sorry."

"Look, Zelda. I know what I said is something I can never take back. Something that isn't worth forgiveness. But I'm sorry about everything."

"You aren't mad at me?"

"I could never be mad at you," He smiles, "I'm mad at your mother."

"There are some other things."

"What?"

"I'm not part human and part wolf. I'm part vampire and werewolf like Luci."

"I see."

"And that mom is alive."

"What?"

"She's out there somewhere, but she doesn't want me to find her," I look him in the eyes, "She doesn't want me."
