No one's POV
Alicent had just demanded that Rhaenyra's son be scared and his eye to be taken. Everyone was going crazy now, yelling at one another. Everyone is silenced once the king yells, "Alicent, this matter...is finished. Do you understand? And let it be known, anyone whose tongue dares to question the birth of Princess Rhaenyra's sons should have it removed." Rhaenyra bows her head, "Thank you father." Maegoryia had stood up, leaning against her brother, Aemonds chair, Her face covered in her own blood and stitched up. She went to walk to her mother when she was pulled back by Aemond when their mother took the knife from the kings belt and ran towards Lucerys. "Mother!" "Alicent!" "No!" and many more yells could be heard at that moment when Rhaenyra and Alicent can in touch. Maegoryia had slid back down to the floor by the side of her brother chair, scared for her mother. Not scared that she was going to get hurt but scared that she was to do something stupid once more, something so stupid that it could cause what the future would hold.
You could not hear what they were saying to one another but Alicent and Rhaenyra both looked at peace for a mere moment before they pulled from one another. Rhaenrya held her wrist, blood dripping down her arm as Alicent looks shocked and down at the valyrian blade that now drips of crimson blood. Aemond speaks up, "Do not mourn us mother, It was a fair exchange. I may have lost an eye...but I gained a dragon." He then looked at his elder sister, silently urgering her to speak some words as well to help calm their mother more but in that moment Maegoryia could only think about if Jacaerys was okay.
"This proceeding is at an end." The king announces to everyone, and people start to leave the room leaving only the maesters, and the kings younger children. Aegon looks around before going to his two siblings. "So, you are not dragonless but now you are eyeless. What an exchange indeed." He says rather sarcastically and bored already. "Indeed it is brother." is all Aemond says before he is taken away by the maesters for a better look at his wound. "Sister. How do you feel?" Aegon asks his, might be say, favorite sister. "Do I look ugly now?" Maegoryia whispers with tears coating her eyes as she looks up at Aegon and Helaena. Hela immediately shakes her head while Aegon speaks up for the both of them, "No dear sister, if anything it makes you look fierce. Some would say that you look like Visenya the dowager queen. She was known for her scars that she had gotten from battle." Helaena nodded her head in agreement as Maegoryia still looked doubtful. Aegon sighed as he spoke, "Do not freight mae. You look just as you did before, but now you have a mighty scare." All Maegoryia did was nod sadly, thinking that because she was scared for life now that she was not beautiful and Jacaerys would never speak to her again because she was so hideous.
Truth be told, Aegon had not been that sober in days and he was glad that he was. He missed his sister. His little mae. He gave her that nickname she was just days old. It had caught on and Aemond had called her that as well. Aegon would never admit it but he was jealous of Aemond and Maegoryia's relationship. They were as close as he and mae were when they were younger. It was like Aemond replaced him. But Aegon knew he could not blame anymore but himself for losing his sister. He couldn't help it that when he got his first taste of wine he did not want to ever stop drinking. He walked out of that room back to his chambers, deep in thought, which was rare seeing as he was always drunk now adays, about how life could have been if he never took that drink from Ser Criston Cole. Then he could have been there to protect both his siblings from the whores bastards. It pained him to see his perfect little mae in pain with tears. He wanted nothing more than to be there for her and be the brother he was not anymore. Aegon had also wanted to punch the light out of the Velaryon boys for harming her. That was his last thought as he fell asleep. What he could have been if he never drunk that wine.
While Aegon was in his thoughts back to his chambers, Helaena and Maegoryia were escorted back to their rooms. The walk was silent, so silent that Helaena could hear her sister's thoughts as she was thinking them. "You mustn't think so much on what he will think." Maegoryia turned to her sister in confusion and shock. "Who are you talking about Aena?" She questioned, slightly worried that Helaena would know about these weird feelings she was feeling towards the Velaryon boy. The same feelings that have been slowly disappearing after remembering that he is the one who brought the blade, the very blade that scarred her beautiful face. "Jacaerys." and with that Maegoryia knew that Helaena acknowledged the looks that the two shared, the way they spoke to one another and how they acted when the other was around. Masgoryia stopped in front of Helaena's chamber doors,
her own room being across the hall. "But, what if he never looks at me again. I value our friendship, I do not know why I value it as much as I do, but I do, and that will not change." She spoke with such worry that Helaena was sad that her sister thought these things. "Sleep now sister, for there will be time to dwell, but now is not that time. Goodnight sister." Aena said as she turned into her room and gently shut the doors. Maegoryia did not understand but she did not question it, nor did she have time to as Aena left quickly.Maegoryia had fallen asleep early that night but it seems her dragon did not. Város had kept many people awake that night while Maegoryia had dream after dream.
Daemon had been running towards her. She had been bruised and bloody, covered in ash. "Why are you here." He asks his trueborn daughter with his blade, the dark sister, to her throat. Maegoryia stood there, not even blinking an eye at the mad man as she still stares straight at her sister, Rhaenyra.
"I have come to warn you, sister." Maegoryia says, her face stonic with dried blood mixed with ash on her as she stared straight at Rhaenyra.
"What are you warning me of exactly?" She asks questionably. "Our father is dead. Alicent and Otto are forcing our brother, Aegon, to be crowned the 'rightful' king of the seven kingdoms. He is on the run at the moment, but Aemond will find him and bring him to mother. He was always a mommy's boy after all." Maegoryia had told her sister who just looked heart broken and commanded for the room to be cleared and Daemon to take his sword off my throat, which he did but very slowly.Daemon speaks harshly, "Why have you come here to tell us this child?" Maegoryia just looks at him, silently, as if confirming his thoughts. She knew. She knew that he was her father. She knew that he wanted no part of her life. and she knew that he did not care what so ever that she was his and not his brothers. She turned back to Rhaenyra, "I know this is not what you wanted to hear but it is nothing but the truth. They hold Rhaenys now, trying to get her to claim Aegon, his so called 'birthright' for when he is back." Rhaenyra just nodded as Jacaerys, who had been there the whole time, walked over to his mother and rested a hand on her shoulder, showing that he was there for his mother.
"What she meant to say is, why have you left your family, to betray them, to come and tell their enemies what they plan on doing?" Jacaerys says, looking at Maegoryia, who finally looked at him for the first time since she had arrived. She was just as beautiful as he remembered. The scar she has still sits just as perfectly as he could recall. The scar that his blade did. He would never forgive himself for bringing it if he had known she would be there.
"Because my prince, I could not stand by as they completely ignored what my father wished for when he would pass. It was not right." was all Maegoryia said as Jacaerys walked over to her. She looked more like a goddess the closer he got.
"Ryia...I-"Maegoryia woke with a loud gasp. All she was thinking about was what she had just dreamt of. She then heard Város roar, she smiled and help comfort knowing Város was always close by. He always knew how to calm her, and when to calm her. And with that, Maegoryia went back to sleep with one thought on her mind, well, more of one person on her mind. Jacaerys Velaryon.
