No Ones POV

Maegoryia awoke late the next day. She wasn't sure why she had gotten so much sleep or why she had gotten away with it. Usually her father would call to have breakfast with her these days but no one called for her. Fleur helped her dress and Maegoryia walked to her fathers' room only for it to be heavily guarded. More than usual. She went to open the door but a guard stepping in front of her making her take a step back confused.

"I wish to see the king, my father." She said eyeing the guard who bowed his head as he spoke.

"That is not allowed princess, I am sorry."

Maegoryia was beyond confused and getting a little upset that she wasn't allowed to see her father.

"Move by the order of the princess." Maegoryia said gritting her head as she eyed the guard who did not move. She was getting frustrated. She just wanted to drink tea and eat lemon cakes with her father.

"I'm afraid I cannot. The queen has ordered me to not let anyone into the kings chambers. I'm sorry princess." the guards words rung throughout her head. Was he dead? Did her mother finally kill him so Aegon could rule just like her grandsire, Otto, had wanted all along? She shook her head as she stepped back almost losing her footing as someone placed a hand on the small of her back, causing her to turn around rapidly to find the culprit.

"Are you okay princess?" Jacaerys asked the young girl who looked like she was going to either cry or yell. He wasn't sure which one would come first.

"Take me to your mother." Was all Maegoryia responded with as she looped her arm into Jacaerys so he could guide her to Rhaenyra, but also for support as she felt like she might collapse at the thought of her father lying dead in his bed with no one by his side. Jacaerys wasted no time and began to walk to where his mother was with Mae on his arm. He was worried for her, and incredibly confused. What could have made her so upset. He had been walking to the kitchens for a quick snack to reward himself of his good packing and overheard her voice as she commanded a guard to move and was denied the wish.

The walk was quick and precise. When Jace heard the urgency in Mae's voice he didn't hesitate. So now they were standing in the room that occupied both Rhaenyra and Daemon, who both turned to the two young teens who burst into the room. One looked like she wasn't actually present by the way her eyes were frantically moving around the room with clear signs of distress all while the other was looking at the girl with concern.

"What is the meaning of this?" Rhaenyra asked the two in confusion while standing up and slowly walking over. Jacaerys expected Maegoryia to speak up but when he looked back at her he saw that she was still processing whatever thoughts were roaming through her mind frantically, so he spoke up first, hoping it would help her calm down and speak a response as well.

"I'm not sure. I was going to get a treat before the flight home and found her in this state. She told me to bring her to you. So I did." Rhaenyra was now more concerned and Daemon was suspicious.

"I think...-" before Maegoryia could even think to finish, Daemon spoke up, "We don't care what you think. We care about what you know." That made Maegoryia snap out of whatever terror she was in and give him a cold look while Rhaenyra shot a small glare at him for his choice of words against her sweet sister.

"I know that Otto is planning something. Father is dying. And he is going to die any day now. I wouldn't be surprised if he had already died last night, but I came to warn you of Otto's sneaky plans. He is as sly as a fox and have the venom of a snake when he speaks. He will do anything for Aegon to take your throne even though Aegon does not wish to have it." Maegoryia snapped, not once looking away from Daemon until Rhaenyra spoke again.

"I am aware of Otto and his want for the throne but it is mine and he cannot change the kings word." Maegoyia just hummed at her choice of words. Rhaenyra thought that the hum came from Daemon at first, the both of them sounding and acting so familiar, but she couldn't think of that at this moment. It was something she would talk to him about later. She, of course, had heard all about the rumors about her sister's legitimate father, and to say she wasn't curious from the truth was an understatement. She never questioned it, she could never. Rhaenyra loved her sister but she wouldn't be surprised if Maegoryia was actually her cousin and now step daughter.

"Aegon's a cunt who will usurp Rhaenyra any day he wants if he pleases." Daemon finally speaks up as the others were thinking. All heads turn to him and Maegoryia was not happy with his words and all three of them could tell. Jacaerys had made up his mind on whether she was to cry or yell first. Definitely yell. And it was definitely coming now.

"Do not speak of my brother in that way. Only I can speak of him like that. And besides, Aegon would rather run off with a whore and a shit ton of wine then plan to take the throne, let alone be king and go against his sisters' wishes." Mae said to him with an angry tone that was testing to see if he would dare speak out against her or her brother again. But Daemon didn't care.

"He is still a cunt who loves his mommy and would do anything to please her." to be fair, he had a point, Maegoryia thought to herself. Rhaenyra shushed him with a wave of her hand and turned to her son and sister.

"Thank you for the warning sister. We will take it with us and speak over it once we have returned home. You two may go now." Rhaenyra spoke and Maegoryia knew her sister wasn't actually going to speak over the warning and it made her angry but she didn't resist the boys hands on her back as if trying to push her out of the room before she could do any damage that was undoable. Maegoryia warned her sister and whether she took it or not was not her decision. But Maegoryia was sure as hell that Rhaenyra's downfall wasn't on her if she hadn't taken her words.

Jacaerys walked Maegoryia to her chambers to see it that she got there safely. The walk was silent, as usual. Their thoughts were so loud they could probably read each others if they pleased.

"I wish to see you soon princess." Jacaerys said with a smile on his face but his tone was sad.

"Yes, It was fun. Maybe in another sixteen years." Maegoryia joked, hoping to get a laugh out of him, and it did. Jacaerys let out a small laugh and bowed his head, trying to hide the large smile on his face but he was unsuccessful.

"I do believe that we will see one another again before that Mae." Jacaerys told her, smile still showing as his eyes softened the longer he looked at her. Maegoryia sent a smile back and nodded before a bitter thought came to her mind that made her smile lower. And before she could think over her next words, she simply let them out.

"I wish you and Baela a good marriage. And tell Lucy that I wish him and Rhaena's good as well." Mae said and Jacaerys smile dropped. He nodded and bowed before leaving without a word causing Maegoryia to believe she did something wrong. Was she not supposed to wish her best friend a good marriage? Why would he not say anything else? He was leaving. And he wasn't going to come back for a long while so why wouldn't he say an actual goodbye. It was like that night was repeating itself but this time he had the chance to say a proper farewell and he didn't, that's what hurt Maegoryia the most. While Maegoryia was stressing over her choice of words, Jacaerys was stressing over what he had just done. Why would he just walk away? He was stupid. He is literally leaving and he obviously won't be back and he just walked away without saying goodbye to his best friend? He didn't understand why her words about the marriage between himself and Baela hurt so much but they did. He wouldn't say it aloud anymore but he did wish that it was others giving Maegoyria and him marriage wishes. One can dream though.

And Jacaerys Velaryon always dreamed of her.
