peter walked out of the destruction and decided to keep his symbiote hidden. he was getting a few looks from girls while he walked up to a news paper showing fake information about spiderman "spiderman used to make me feel safe.. now im afraid to walk home from work.." a woman said while talking to a few more patrons" "my son thought the world to this guy.." another man chimed in "i have a 9 year old daughter loves spiderman whos she supposed to look up to now!" the woman replied "this is the guy they gave the key to the city to?" peter whispered "im gonna put some dirt in your eye seeing that the photo was by none other than his rival eddie brock jr. back at the daily bugle everyone was celebrating eddies official staff job. "cheers to the new staff photographer!" they all cheered and sipped their champagne while eddie said "i just got lucky.."  "this is so wonderful for you" two women said as eddie poured them  their drinks. "well you might wanna tell jj to put a little more wall space" eddie lifted a giant framed picture of his first official photo for the bugle onto the wall. as he looked at it he saw the reflection of peter in the glass.

"oh good morning! its a beautiful day huh! what was it you said? ill never get that picture? theres your hero!" eddie pointed his thumb to the picture. peter replied hiding his anger "i never thought hed really do that!"  "see right there! you made a  judgment call" eddie pointed out "you gotta see it as it is" peter replied letting his face show anger "funny you should say that .. cause i was looking through some old photos and it looks very.." he adjusted his shirt trying to keep his identity as symbiote spiderman hidden. "uhh.. similar.." eddie didnt get the hint peter was trying to drop. "okay well.. i gotta get back to work.." "your trash brock.."  eddie turned back to peter "excuse me!?" peter slammed down the picture  onto his desk "your pictures are fake!" peter had done his observations and research seeing that it was the exact same one as his but photo shopped. peter put arrows and words  and circles showing the obvious flaws in eddies photoshopping. "oh parker you are such a boy scout! when are you gonna give a guy a break!?" peter got extremely enraged grabbing eddie slamming him into the picture breaking the glass. everyone in the surrounding area looked up seeing peter shoving eddie into the picture. "you want forgiveness get religion" peter said to him. robbie yelled "WHATS GOING ON HERE!?" betty asked "are you guys alright??" eddie looked at them and panicked "yeah no! were just.. horsing around!" he looked down at peter "look im begging you if you do this i will lose everything! theres not a paper in town that will hire me" he whisper yelled at peter. peter responded with a slight smirk on his face "you should have thought of that earlier.." he grabbed the papers as robbie approached "what are you doing peter??" he walked up and slapped the paper against his chest letting him have it knowing robbie was a traitor for picking brock over him. "show this to your editor tell him to check his source next time.." robbie and betty looked at the pictures then at eddie seeing what he had done. peter left the premises while robbie and betty rushed to show jonah. they entered the area and betty just stayed outside trying to listen. eddie went inside jonahs office with robbie as jonah inspected the pictures "its a fake.. empire state photographic department confirms it.." jonah slapped the papers down onto his desk in anger. eddie looked side to side before flinching at the sound of the paper slamming onto the desk. "pack your things.. get out of my building.." jameson tried to keep his composer but eddie tried to clear himself "i was just-"  "YOURE FIRED!" jameson screamed. eddie exited and packed his things.
