Levy's POV
The rest of the night was a big blur. After the incident, I decided to get stupidly drunk and get with as many girls as I could, for whatever reason. I definitely surpassed Anita's bet, and I'm not even proud. Thing is, I woke up in a random hotel room surrounded by naked girls AND a hamster.
I'm choosing to ignore the hamster.
Luckily, it was still the hotel we were staying at. I went back to my room without waking any of the girls. All class, I know.
I entered and saw Noah passed out on the couch. So far so good, but no sign of Anita. I was honestly a little nervous to see her after last night. There was always acceptable playful banter going around but what I did last night is not something that has been accepted in our books, so I'm unsure how today's gonna go with her.
I had a massive headache so I popped an ibuprofen, got in my room, showered, and changed. I put on light clothes since it was cloudy and gonna be a rainy day, so I stuck with the good old white shirt and gray sweatpants. After that, I went back to the living room to wake Noah up but what I saw threw me off my game.
Right after I walked in the living room, Anita's door opened and she came out giggling with the guy from last night. Oh no, this is bad.
¨Oh¨ the guy said. ¨You again¨
¨Me again!¨ Yes asshole, I live here. What did you think?
¨Levy, this is Dan.¨ Anita gulped. ¨I believe you've met.¨
¨We've crossed paths, yes.¨ I faked a smile.
¨We have. Well, I better go.¨ Dan said. ¨See you soon, pretty.¨ He kissed Anita on the cheek, and I felt something burn inside me.
¨Bye.¨ Anita smiled at him, and he left.
This, this was my karma.
Anita's POV
After my disruption with Levy last night, I decided to bring Dan back to my room and fuck him. It seemed like the only reasonable thing to do.
I do admit I initially went down to the club only to mess with him, but I didn't expect things to get so out of hand. Pushing a guy I'm with, that's just not okay, no matter how much tension there is between us. I can't let that happen again, and I'm gonna talk to him about it.
Dan closed the door, and I looked at Levy.
¨Wow¨ he said.
¨You have absolutely no right at all to say anything.¨
¨I mean... wow.¨
¨Honestly, what the fuck were you thinking, Levy?¨
He looked at me, and I felt my heart fall to my feet. All I suddenly wanted to do was kiss him.
¨I'm sorry.¨ he said. ¨I had no right to do that.¨ he paused. ¨I guess... I get protective around you, and we both know...¨
I looked away.
¨I guess I lost track of where the line we drew was, and I crossed it. I'm sorry.¨
How did he manage to screw up so easily yet always end up saying the right thing?
¨Okay, Levy. Don't let it happen again, okay?¨
He hadn't laid his eyes off me. ¨Okay¨
I smiled, and he got closer to me. No, no.
¨Did he, at least?¨
¨Did he what?¨ I asked, staying still.
He kept getting closer.
¨Well if you're bringing a guy over, did he at least make you come?¨ He was about three inches away from me now. It was annoying how much taller he was than me.
His scent invaded my thoughts and suddenly I stopped thinking clearly.
¨Do you want me to call him for advice? I won't say it's for you.¨ I said.
He got even closer to the point our mouths were almost touching. ¨Did he?¨
I put my arms around his neck, and he looked at my lips.
¨Do you really think... I would let him stay over if he hadn't?¨ I scoffed and pushed him, then turned around to go back to my room. Well played, me.
¨For the record, I don't think he did!¨ I heard Levy say behind me.
He's right... but he'll never know that.
